I purchased a part from witch they said was the right one it was not and they did not properly inform me of a no return policy. immediately stone walled me with no returns policy in a slightly hostile tone and would not hear me out.claimed I could have damaged the part.the only time the part left the box was to check to see if it was d.o.a or out of spec any sane mechanic should check electrical parts before installing them. all parts in general.I know its the wrong part because you can check if its good or damaged by checking the ohms the bm11 21119-2161 engine igniter normal parameters are from 0.2 - 0.7 k ohms what they sold me is at 4.58 - 5.30 k ohms that's the ohms Briggs uses it would have damaged the coil and that would have been even more expensive to fix.
The customer wanted a part that is no longer available from ***, the part he bought was the closest item available to us as a substitute. We have used this part in the exact engine he has with no issues. I cannot say for sure what the ohms readings should be without looking up but to date I have not had issues with coil failures from this part we are aware of. The return policy is posted on every computer facing the customer, above the counter on a large sign and on every receipt received by the customer. On any electrical items once they leave the store they are not returnable. We do not know what has been done to something once it has left. As far as the employee being hostile and not listening it is false. Anyone who has dealt with the person he is referring to knows he does listen and is as nice a person as they come. When customer was told it was not returnable and it says it on the receipt the customer looked at the receipt and said oh or ok and left with no further questions. Never mentioned an ohm reading or anything else just said that he found the problem and this was not needed and left. We would have helped with solving his problem ahead of time if he asked for advice but never did. His story has changed from another review he posted so I do not know what to believe was the actual issue.
