Klein and Son Construction & Excavating

Paid Klein and son to do some work renovating the bathroom and installing a dishwasher, stove and microwave over the stove. Bathroom turned out okay, even though it took longer than projected. The dishwasher is not in straight, nor is the microwave installed correctly, the stove has a hole in the back where it was cut too long. Kept saying they would come back and fix it, after I had paid them, because they kept saying it's a small thing that wouldn't take long to fix. Well they finished in July and it's now September. Keep talking to the son, but I keep getting the run around. Now they are no longer in business and I can't get in touch with anyone. The thing I have learned is not pay when the job is not done. Do not care how small the job is. I am so disappointed, it started off so good.

Acts like a fly by night businiess but sure doesn't charge like one. Replaced a deck which now turns out to be not to code and wants to charge me to bring it up to code. I didn't know you could legally do work not to code. Says they only did what I said to do. I was in Afghanistan and my wife was in another state. We wanted the deck replaced and never said don't worry about code or had any idea that the 30 year old deck wasn't to code. They are the professionals, that's why we pay them. Seriously!!!
Put a coating on the exterior of the house that ran and looks bad. Says we insisted on using it so they did it anyways. Again we were not even in the same state and they went ahead and did the job. Why would you do work that you can't show as an example of the high quality of your work. Ignored other problems that could have easily been corrected. Seems money was the priority, not the job or our happiness. I called and although Fred is friendly, everything is our fault. It is, in that we trusted them to do the right thing for us and not them.
