Review: On or about the last week of May 2014, I called Skip K[redacted] whose name I found in the Yellow Pages online under Cement Contractors. I explained the work I needed done and also asked if he was licensed to which he laughed a little and said, yeah, yeah, I'm licensed. I've been doing this type of work for over 50 years. The very next day, the Mr. K[redacted] drove by my house to look at the small cement job I was inquiring about. He phoned me and gave me an estimate for the job which was to repair the front of a cement step leading up to my porch landing as well as a small crack and repair needed of a spot on the bottom step which holds the wrought iron railing. The estimate was $250. I told him I would like him to go ahead and do the work, and within a day I came home to find the top step finished. The bill was left in my mail slot. I was thrilled with the end result on the top step and called Mr. K[redacted] and told him that, and also wondered why the bottom step was not taken care of at the same time. He said, yeah, yeah, that takes a different type of cement, which he said is called hydraulic and that it's a very small job and he'll have his man come back and do it at the end shift of one of his other jobs within the next few days. Shame on me, I immediately wrote out the check for the full amount and sent it. A week came and went, my check was cashed, but the bottom step was never completed. I phoned Mr. Klemmer to ask about this and again he insisted it would only take his man a few minutes and he would make sure it gets done in the next week. To date, I have called Mr. K[redacted] approximately 10 times, the last one was on Friday 9/19/14. I've been put off so many times and feel I have no recourse. He's gotten agitated and says I need to remind him, I have, many times.Desired Settlement: My purpose in writing is to have the complaint on file and I would like the job that I paid for over 4 months ago to be completed.
