complaintOn 6/6/at approx930am I called him to explain that when his dental office from Utah had sent his FMX (xrays) they were sent from a file called Photoshop its a Adobe file that is not a commonly used applicationThough we in fact did receive them we could not transport them into his file chartDr *** would need to have access to them in his file chart at all timesWe contacted our computer support technician and he had informed us there was nothing that could be done to transport the xrays into his fileThe assistant taking them on the day he had come in to our office to establish as a new patient took a new set so Dr *** could access them in his file in order to properly evaluate and diagnose his over all dental healthWe had called his insurance to verify that his insurance would allow a FMX to be taken and they verified that he could have a setHowever he would have his $fiscal year deductible and 20% copay as Healthscope pays the FMX at a basic ratePer the American Dental Association the standard of care is a updated FMX every 3-yearsAlthough we understood his former dentist had taken the fmx within a year they were inaccessible for the doctorWe gave the patient a complete refund of what he had paid and let him know this was not his fault or oursThe conversation was left on a positive note and I believe he was satisfied with getting a complete refund
