s the issue. We determined the part was incomplete and missing a component. The tech made a few suggestions as to what could be done to remedy the issue and improvised to make the part work temporarily. The technician then checked on the price of the part and relayed that to the customer on or around 12/19 according to our phone log. Customer’s wife called on 1/9 upset that we had not been out to complete the repairs, but this was the first we had contact from them since giving the price for the part. Customer requested service call for 1/12 to which we obliged and sent the technician back out to install the part. Once part was installed we did a check of our work and the system and determined a faulty thermostat issue, which the customer had also installed himself. We then replaced the faulty thermostat. We believe a resolution has already been reached in this issue as we completed the work we were requested to do. *Note: it was also determined that there is an abundant amount of air in the system which the homeowner has tried to remove previously and has been unsuccessful. Customer requested advice on air removal and technician suggested a purge set up to be installed on the boiler. Customer did not want to have it repaired at this time due to extra cost.
