Today, I received a letter stating that I wouldn’t get my security deposit back. They charged me $485 for replacing mini blinds. The original blinds, which were installed 9 years ago, were cheap $5 Walmart blinds. They also charged me a $175 fee to remove trash when there was not a single item left in the house. The trash bin outside was full because I moved out on a Sunday, and trash pickup was on Wednesday. Additionally, they charged me a $977 cleaning fee, even though the house was clean. The cleaning was needed because I had lived there for 9 years, not because the house was left dirty. I wiped down every surface before I moved out.
This company is a scam and took my $1,125 security deposit. Before I moved out, they had a property available for rent just a few doors down. I referred a friend to check it out, but when she left, she refused to apply. Her exact words were, "I would take your unit as is before I would consider moving into that one." This is not a trustworthy company. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!
When I did call with issues, I was told to use dish soap to remove mold or just spray paint over it. When I explained that no matter how much I paid for a new shower bar, it rusted within a week, they told me to paint it. I had mold in every room, and there was a leak that they never fixed, preventing me from using the small downstairs closet for coats.

I have contacted the customer and addressed her concerns. She has all statements and funds owed to her. She was short and I've invoiced her for the amount owed to Kline Properties, Inc.

any such tenant caused damages. We determined that there was some tenant cause damage including two kitchen cabinet doors that were damaged among other issues. These two cabinet doors are very difficult to replace and we had to special order tow replacement that come in unfinished. We had to follow up with stain and finish to match the existing cabinets. A letter was mailed to the tenant detailing the issues and the reason for the deduction from the deposit. A partial return of the security deposit was made by mail along with an explanation for the deduction. It may be that the mail was delayed due to the Martin Luther King holiday.
