Revdex.com:
This matter has been resolved. however, in regards to the owner's concern in running their business in a professional manner, communication is very important. Had the manager just explained to me what the hold up was for a refund all this could have been avoided. I cant believe that in this day of technology, matters cannot be resolved the old fashioned way. The owner wanted a "paper Trail" which could have also been achieved with refunding me cash, but they couldn't figure out how to accomplish that. There was a copy of the cost of the dipstick emailed to them so there was a paper trail, and they could have written a receipt for the cash refund with my signature and the managers signature. It is a sad time when machines wont "let" humans "do" what needs to be done. They chose to drag this matter out.

I would have loved to speak directly with the owner, but I know that would not have been possible. Maybe they will read this communication and consider doing the right thing for the next customer who has a complaint.

Sincerely

These guys are con artists. They trick you into getting your car into the shop then they call you with a long list of repairs that they say are critical. When you tell them to just fix what you told them to, they say "We decline the repair" and you owe us $120 for the diagnostic. They are very rude and loud. When you try to talk to them in the office, they get real loud and try to emabarrass you. Also, they lie about how long it will take just to get you to bring the car in. They are very rude, snotty and condesending. I saw them bring an old lady to tears.

We informed the customer there is a diagnostic fee of $111.40 to diagnose the vehicle and that we was at least one day backed up before we could look at the vehicle.
Customer brought the vehicle in Monday 10-22-2018 at 2pm, Tuesday 10-23-2018 around 430pm we pulled the vehicle in to start the diagnostic process. Wednesday morning 10-24-2018 we spoke with customer to report our findings.
There was no long list of critical repairs although the vehicle had 4 diagnostic trouble codes in the on board computer only 2 parts needed to be replaced to resolve the issue.
We did inform the customer that the vehicle was in need of 2 new front tires and wiper blades.
Drivers front tire measuring 1/32 pass front tire measure 3/32. It’s our responsibility to make a customer aware when tires are worn out.
Regarding the repair the customer requested. This would not have resolved the issue and vehicle would have left the same as problems as it had coming in. the customer was informed his requested repairs would have no warranty. Customer insisted we would provide warranty. Because we have to warranty what we do and customers requested repair would not resolve issue. We declined servicing this vehicle.
Regarding customer complaint of we tricked him into bringing in vehicle. I don’t know how we are a day backed up before we can look at your vehicle and it cost $111.40 to look at it can be considered tricking you into bringing your vehicle in?
Regarding the customers complaint of we call you with a long list of repairs that are critical. Our long list of needed repairs was extremely short and nothing was recommended the vehicle did not need. Valve cover assembly, 2 tires and wiper blades. That would be a grand total of “3” things, not a long list.
Regarding customer’s complaint of we was not willing to do just what was requested. Why would we in good faith charge customer money to perform a requested service knowing it would not fix anything and we have to warranty what we do.
When customer picked up the vehicle there was no rude and loud or embarrassing anyone and certainly no crying old ladies. The customer has just simply made up these accusations. We have everything on video. Happy to provide copy of video to anyone wanting to view it.
Klingemann’s official response, Due to we have done nothing wrong and the only fee charged was discussed and agreed before the service additionally diagnostic was properly performed.
There is no justifiable refund.
