The customer brought the vehicle (Ford Taurus) in to our facility for "No Heat"We checked over the system and determined the Blend door actuator had failedWe replaced the motor and vehicle has good HeatThe emphasis is "Heat"! Customer did not ask us to check or repair the A/C systemSo he turns on the A/C and it doesn't work? This is a separate problemThe control panel not put back in place and prints/dirty is a problem, which I would have gladly taken care ofHe has been a customer since with no complaintsI think a Jack of knowledge of how the HVAC systems work in a vehicle is the problemThe panel/dirty situation should have been brought to my attention the Day it was picked up or soon after — In my opinionAs far as driving the vehicle miles, Definitely Not! No member in my shop or myself went any farther than miles total to get vehicle up to temperature
attempted to talk to them to no availI was told I was a thief for stealing gas out of the vehicleI tried to explain the A/C system to her; she said "It worked last year (XXXX)This is and Vehicle is years old?

Since Mr*** said we had lack of knowledge in how HVAC systems workWe did some research and found that if the vent door actuator is not functioning properly it will not open to the cool or heat side of the systemI know they are separate systemsAnd in this case it's the cool sideThere is a shaft in the back of the vent door actuator that goes into a lever,the lever controls the doors.He had asked if we checked to see if the A/C compressor was working? It appears to be operating like it is supposed to.Also the more we inspect the vehicle we seem to be finding things were not reassembled properlyThe fastener for the under dash panel on the passenger side was broken and rigged to to stay in place.I am beginning to believe he did not fix anything and just rigged it to the heat side.I also like the way he is trying to belittle us and basically saying we are ignorant.Thank God for You Tube
