We wish to ensure that others are aware of the disastrous experience our family had with KLZ Roofing Inc When we hired KLZ to insulate the attic of our River Heights home in March, 2012, we were convinced by their estimator/assessor that we required additional intake venting for our attic [redacted] Our major issue was that three years later, in 2015, the intake vents began to leak, causing significant damage to our roof, attic, insulation and the interior of our home After our insurance company (and an independent roof inspector they hired) inspected our roof, attic and interior, they concluded that the damage was attributable to the faulty installation of the intake vents by KLZ, denied our claim and directed us to address the issue directly with KLZ In spite of their six year workmanship warranty, KLZ's owner, Kirk, did not attend our home or send a representative to survey the damage as per our verbal and multiple written requests for over a month Upon finally doing so, his employee who had initially recommended the vents acknowledged the fault of the vents they had installed, but Kirk made it very clear that none of the resulting damage would be covered by KLZ [redacted] We commissioned and provided KLZ with a Structural Engineer's assessment/report which re-confirmed that the improper installation of the intake vents was the cause of the damage to our home [redacted] KLZ passed the claim to their liability insurance company, [redacted] Thanks so much for your time!!!
