Revdex.com Complaint #*** I will agree with *** he probably did pay for the return UPS when it was return to Knase Co and Knase Co paid the shipping when the unit was returned to *** ***’s Statement is wrong his electrician did fine the voltage to be volts, that is why I had a conversation with the motor manufactureThe volts problem is why *** removed the unit from the extension cord and run the unit on the alternative power source his generateThe customer’s inadequate voltage is the result of all the problem with this machine*** used the machine over years and received 80% of his initial cost backThe restock charge is fair and Knase Co will not refund the charge

I am rejecting this response because: It it obvious to me that MrKnase is not going to refund me the $If he wants to hide behind his restocking statement on his website he can do so. I'm still unhappy with the fact that he promised me a full refund if I shipped the product at my expense which was a Lie MrKnase has not stood by his promise or product and I see no attempt on his part to resolve this matter. Please leave this complaint up on Revdex.com for all to see. Thank You, *** ***

February 15, 2017 Revdex.com complaint [redacted] The TTJ-M Hom Pik is a home uses model for plucking the feathers from chicken, turkeys and waterfowl. This unit was purchased November 5, 2014 for $627.00 for waterfowl use and is now over 2 years old. The unit has a 1/3hp 115volt motor used to drive the drum...

that plucks the birds. Shortly after the customer ([redacted]) received the machine, he called about the motor heating up and shutting down. When the motor cooled, the machine would run again. At that time, I had [redacted] return the machine to my shop. I found that the machine was assembled correctly and the motor ran fine. I returned the machine to [redacted], and Knase Co. assumed the costs of shipping both ways, which was $60.85 per shipment. Shortly after, [redacted] called again with the same problem. The motor was overheating still but I was hesitant to do anything. [redacted] and I connected over waterfowl hunting and I wanted a happy customer so I had [redacted] return the machine and I replaced the motor at no charge for the motor and shipping. These costs were $105.00 for the motor and $121.70 for shipping. [redacted] used the machine seasonally so I didn’t hear back for him until January of 2016. At that time, [redacted] called again with the motor heating problem. As this was a new motor with the same problem, it seemed very unusual. I asked [redacted] if he could check the voltage where the machine was plugged into.  I believe his neighbor was an electrician so [redacted] had him check the voltage and found it to be 95 volt.  In addition, [redacted] used an extension cord, which was also adding to the loss of line voltage.  I told [redacted] the motor manufacturer informed me that the motor had a 10% plus or minus margin it would run on, so [redacted] was under-powering the machine by 9 volts. The motor manufacturer told me that this is why the motor would heat up and shut down. [redacted] agreed to move the machine to another power source but only had the option to use a generator. This was at the end of the 2015 waterfowl season so [redacted] could not test the machine again until the fall of 2016. [redacted] called me in January of 2017 and told me that he had plucked 11 ducks and then the motor overheated.  At that time, I knew [redacted] would not be happy until I refunded his money, so I agreed to send him a refund. However, we never discussed the dollar amount of the refund. [redacted] returned the machine to me at his expense in the later part of January 2017. I ran the machine again in my office for over 3 consecutive hours and the motor never shut down. I had to clean the machine of feathers, blood and dirt, and repackage the machine to put it in used inventory for resell. I deducted 20% or $125.40 from the check I sent him for the restock charge. The refund amount was 501.60 and [redacted] has cashed the check. The restock charge information statement is published on my website under the shipping and return policy. I am sorry [redacted] had this problem with one of my machines but he takes no responsibility for the machine not working properly due to his lack of adherence to the voltage requirements at his location.
