September 18, 2014To Whom it May Concern:I am writing in response to your letterThe mother came to my business four (4) days after towed her son's vehicle wanting to get his personal belongingsI asked her if there was collision
coverage on the car and she said, “no”I explained to her that they are responsible for the tow bill and | preceded to give her optionsShe could contact a salvage yard to buy the car, pick it up and pay the tow bill or she could give me the title to the vehicle plus $for the tow and I would eliminate storage and cleanup feesShe asked if she could have the personal things out of the car and I told her if she paid me either way she could have his belongingsThe vehicle is my collateral for payment.I showed her how extensive the car was damaged and that most of the personal belongings were ruined when the firefighters put out the fireThe whole front of the car, windshield, and front seats were burned and the interior of the car had about inches of water in itShe told me she would have her son-in-law come on Saturday for her son's belongingsHe never showed upShe called me Sunday evening at 6:p.m(I was at a family function) and asked if she could come to pick up her son's belongingsI said it's Sunday and she snapped at me, “I know it's Sunday, you don't have to tell me what day it is.” I told her I was at a family function miles away from my businessShe responded, “I’ll be over tomorrow.” I said, “it’s a f---ing holiday.” She hung upI was wrong for using inappropriate language, but I was upset by her disrespect in calling me on a Sunday evening and getting snappy with fl??e-She can pick up her son’s belongings on any business weekday from 8:a.mto 6:p.mwith $(she did sign over the title to the vehicle which has been junked).I have been in business for years and have established myself mainly by “word of mouth” from existing satisfied customers.Sincerely,Randy K

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Mr. Randy * K[redacted] was not honest in his letter, He did not let me in the gated area to see what belongings my son had in the car, he told me there was water in the front of the car. My son's car is a station wagon and he had many belongings in the back of the car and Mr Knecht would not alow me near the car. He said I could have a week to find someone with a Pick-Up to help me get my son's belongings. I called Mr. Knecht to let him know I was not able to get the help I needed and was His Garage open on Monday.  He was very irritated with my call  and used foul language with me. My call was made to his business number and he answered, if he was not open I did not expect him to answer but he did and was very rude to me. He never said to me he was at a family function, I never said I wanted to come over and get my son's belongings, I never said I  would be over tomorrow, I did not get snappy with him.  If he was at a family function how did he answer the phone at his garage. I called to let him know I was not able to pick up the metal frames because I could not find someone with a pick-up truck to help me, so I did not say I wanted to come over , obviously.  Because I am a woman I believe Mr Knecht feels he can take advantage and be unfair to me, my son's car was worth alot more than what he says the bill was, I was in a great deal of emotional distress from my son's ordeal and Mr Knecht treated me in a very irritated dismissive way. My daughter was with me at the time of my phone call and witnessed hearing my conversation with him and she said I should contact the Revdex.com because of the way he talked to me. Thank-You,[redacted]

To Whom It May Concern:The customer was taken to the gate of the impound cage to see the damage that her son's vehicle sustained from hitting vehicles and curbs after being chased through several municipalities until his vehicle caught fire from the tires being flat and getting too hot. He then ran and was physically taken down by 3 police departments. The police department took miscellaneous items from the vehicle for their investigation. In my possession (in the impound cage), are the following items:2 steel frames; 1 steel plate; 3 nylon tie-down straps; 1 flashlight (in my office); 1 spare; 1 air pump; 1 Crowbar, 1 jack; 1 chainThe coffee maker box was burned extensively so I left it in the car. The car was junked on August 29, 2014 (14 days after the incident). What the customer doesn't realize is that I have to load and transport the vehicle to a recycling yard for compensation (I'm working twice for the same money). I think I gave her a fair break by waiving the storage and cleanup fees and charging her $100 for the tow instead of $160 (standard fee charged to pick up a vehicle). If she pays the $100, she may pick up the items listed above. She needs to contact the police department regarding the other items she referred to (they are being held as part of the investigation). As far as answering my phone, county control mistakenly gave her the wrong number to call. The number she was given is my 24-hour towing number. I have a business number for all other calls.I am holding the above items since August 15th and haven't charged her anything for storage. All I want is to be compensated for my labor.Sincerely,Randy K

Review: Randy * K[redacted]'s business towed my son's car after my son was arrested. I went to his business to talk about the cost of getting my son's bill taken care of and being able to get my son's property out of the car. I was treated with irritation and rudeness. I was not allowed to get any possessions until I had the title signed over to Knecht. Mr Knecht would only give me my son's wallet and would not let me go to the car until I paid more money which I did not have. My son had some expensive items in the car like a GPS and other items He had just purchased-$200 coffee maker, floor jack, steel frames he had welded worth $250. I called Mr. Knecht to see if he was open on Monday, His response was "It's a F...en Holiday what do you think!" I hung up the phone feeling very violated and extremely hurt at his filthy F word. I am not able to call or go to his business to get my son's things because of his abusive treatment of me a woman, already distraught over my son's circumstance and no husband to help me with this abusive disrespective business owner.Desired Settlement: I want my son's property returned to me and the signed title to his car enough payment for the tow bill and 4 day storage.
