Collection Letter received is addressed to [redacted] & [redacted] at [redacted] XXXXX who is not me or my wife.Have been calling constantly to talk about wrongfull collection and no-one answers phones, 7 calls done and no return calls received yet. We don't live in NC or do bussiness with [redacted] in [redacted] we live in a different state, senior citizens, about to retire with no children. Knight Collection has made a mistake and is not willing to correct the same. This is creating a lot of stress as we are afraid our immaculate credit record might be stained by Knights action. This needs to be ammended immediately. Desired SettlementKnight Collection Agency writes a letter apologizing for their mistake with copy to all credit and back ground agencies immediately. If our credit is impacted, due to Knight's Collection letter, to the extend that we suffer economical burden or distress, Knight Collection Agency assumes the fiscal responsibilty of the damages.Business Response Firstly, the consumer makes no allegation of wrongdoing by our agency. Consumer made phone calls and left messages from Thursday through Sunday. We returned his phone call within two business days, on Monday. We immediately accepted his position that neither he nor his wife were the consumers in question. (Even though we have no verification.) Our agency also immediately sent the consumers the requested letter to indicate the account was closed and that no information had been or would be forwarded to the credit bureaus. (Letter was mailed on April 14th.) This completely resolved the matter and we complied in all ways to the consumer's requests. Consumer Response The issue was solved. I do take exeption to the comment "we don't have verification". Little bid odd that we are seniors, no children, living [redacted], and the claim was in North Carolina by a children's school. Not only that the name of the female did not match.Anybody can make a mistake and should have the courage to accept and error. Lame excuses are no good.[redacted]
