The customer was difficult to get a hold ofAt time of install the power was outWe've tried everything we could to make things right with the customer Showing up as scheduled now that power was back on and being told to come back another day because it didn't fit his schedule even though
it was agreed upon the day previous to the appointmentNow customer is asking for money back for being inconveniencedNot because he was overcharged

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I was not difficult to get a hold of that is just an excuse This company made so many errors with my installation and they are trying to blame everything on me instead of taking responsibility for a poor job They are using the power not being on as another excuse While this was true, and out of my control, they also didn't have the correct weatherstripping or trim, didn't have the privacy lock and one of the panels were damaged So even if the power was on, they still could not complete the job I was told by the installer when he called to let me know that someone from the office would reach out to me to setup another day for them to come out After waiting a WEEK for a call, I reached out to *** He told me that his office has been trying to call me, which is a lie I had no missed calls or voicemails from the office, just another excuse for dropping the ball.He also mentioned that they had appointments that I cancelled when the tech was on site After my first conversation with ***, we did setup an appointment to get the job completed Within minutes of setting up the appointment, I e-mailed *** (e-mail was our main method of communication prior to our conversation on the phone) to let him know that I wasn't comfortable leaving my garage unlocked and not being present and that I would let him know when I would be free to be present He had no issues receiving any of my previous e-mails, yet this one he says he did not receive even though I have a receipt showing it was sent Furthermore, when *** called to let me know he was minutes out, I let him know that I cancelled the appointment with *** He said that no one told him about the change and that it is the "Story of his life" which tells me that errors like this happen typically I told *** that I would leave my office right then and be there in to meet with him since I felt bad that nothing was communicated to him and he told me he couldn't wait minutes for me to get there So I made an effort to be present even though I did cancel this appointment. At the end of the day, I was promised that the door would be installed within a week and it took over a month This company's communication is awful and their customer service is some of the worst that I have ever dealt with I have never been called a liar by a company I am incredibly disappointed in my experience with AGarage Doors and sincerely hope that this effects their score with the Revdex.com
Sincerely,
*** ***

Hello,I tried to attach my response to AGarage Door response to my complaint, but I was unable to attach. This is my response: Complaint #*** Response to AGarage Door comments Yes, *** arrived at 4:15pm. He walked through the house as the garage door opener had been disabled. I parked my car in the visitor area. *** did not give me an estimate on anything. I do not have paperwork for any estimates. Not for the garage door spring, or the garage door opener. The paperwork (receipt) are not pre-numbered. A number was handwritten on ***'s paperwork.....***.Any receipt or estimate can be manufactured after the fact. After I took *** to the garage, I said I'd leave him to look at things. When I went back out, he had removed the broken door spring, and installed new ones. He said it was not fun, as the set was "backwards". I asked *** on the phone about this, and he said it's called reversed set up, which is common. By 5:*** wanted to leave, and I wanted him to stay and fix everything, so I came in the house to call the manager. That is when *** said he was the owner. The receptionist said he was not the owner, or manager, and she would have *** call me. *** wanted to leave, and was belligerent, using the F word, and calling me evil. Yes, my son said to pay ***.......but he also said "so you can get him out of your house".*** did not give a quote of $for the garage door opener. He did bang on the opener, and I asked him to quit. It was 5:on Friday, and he wanted to go. That is why *** sent out *** to look at the garage door opener. He did tell me he thought it was the "carrier", and being the *** garage door open was manufactured in 2006, he'd have to check if they could get parts. *** verbally quoted $129, but when he wrote up the quote, he added $fuel surcharge, as he'd be coming out himself. This is the only estimate I received. My mistake was trying to calm *** down, and call the manager so he'd have *** look at my opener. When someone says, "look lady, if you don't pay, or I'll take things apart, and you can deal with it"......it seemed like coercion to me. Then the day after that, I was heading out to a Dr's apptwhen someone called to say he was going to look at the opener for parts, and I said sorry, I'm leaving the house, so I'd like to talk to ***. He did call the following day, but I missed his call. By then, I had *** come out to look at the *** garage door opener. It was not installed improperly as I was told by *** (I can give you the *** technician name and number if you have questions.) As it turned out, it was not the "carrier", or as *** called it the "traveler" that was broken. When *** called me on the 28th, I was at ***. We talked about ***, his behavior, and I was told he was put on "leave" for a short while. I also asked about the recording *** said he had, and *** said he did listen to them, but it did not look well for me, but did not hear anything about ***! The recording of me in my own home was acknowledged by ***, as well as ***'s behaviorI have an old phone, but I'm pretty certain I let *** know my opener was repaired, and we said goodbye. I did not hang up on himThe bill from *** was $minus a $coupon. That was higher than the other places I called. They were $275-$330. My total after the "coupon" was $403.18. I was not trying to get ANYTHING for free. I felt because *** was so angry, he was price gouging me! I expected a difference of opinion from ***, butFinally, when *** wrote up the paperwork, and I gave him my *** *** credit card, he said "what is this? Is it real? He was confused because the card has a "member since" date and an "expire" date. You can see on the receipt where he crossed out the member since date.....I felt his tone, and words was insinuating I was using a fake card***'s belligerent behavior was frighteningRecording me in my own personal space is creepy at best, or against the law????No written estimates were ever written by ***. I have one from *** for $139, with a note to *** to order part, and schedule me.4. I am a Senior, and I felt by telling me my garage door opener was installed improperly, was a way of trying to rip me off (I did not come to that conclusion until *** looked at the opener) 5. I was told my garage door opener was older, and it might be hard to get parts. *** told me is not that old for a garage door opener.6. I was not trying to get anything for free. I am upset with the blatent price gouging.7. *** was hollering that he would take things apart, and let me deal with it, felt like a threat! After the spring broke on the garage door, the opener was unplugged, and I parked outside for over a week!.......there was no "misuse" causing the opener to break (how do you misuse something that is already broken??)Treating a customer like they are using a fake card is so hurtful, and lacks professionalism, and is rude.Thank you,*** ***

This is not our customer. We do not install gutters. We do not serve [redacted]. We serve the Denver Metro area. This customer has the wrong company!

On September 8th [redacted] with A1 Garage Doors was called out to fix [redacted] garage door. [redacted] did the diagnosis and a free written estimate as we always do. [redacted] noticed that the opener was improperly installed, but first and foremost the garage door spring was broken. [redacted] did mention to...

[redacted] that her son was the one who installed her opener on her garage door. [redacted] quoted the price for the work to be done to replace the springs, in order to get the door to work properly. It is hard to tell if anything is wrong with the opener until we get the door operational. [redacted] then agreed to the price to replace the springs, center bearing, and reset the torsion system. After [redacted] completed the work he had asked [redacted] to use the opener, only to find out that the screw drive opener was stripped and was most likely due to overuse of the door while the spring was broken. [redacted] then quoted $175.00 to fix the opener. [redacted] then replied, “I will not pay you anything at all until the opener is fixed for free” per [redacted]. [redacted] then went outside to call the owner [redacted] for a solution. [redacted] was told that if [redacted] does not pay, to retrieve our parts back. That was when [redacted]’s son involved himself and told her to pay [redacted]. The owner did talk to [redacted] and she did tell him she was scared of [redacted]. [redacted] was then informed by [redacted] that it is illegal to agree to the work and then not pay for the service that was provided. [redacted] did tell [redacted] that the spring quote [redacted] had given her was within range of what it would normally cost to replace them. At this point [redacted] then signed and paid for her invoice. We believe that [redacted] has an overactive imagination and regardless of this we went ahead and completed the work anyways. After completion she signed and paid for the invoice without any coercion. The owner offered to send out another technician to evaluate her opener and give her a second opinion. A different technician did go out and give her an estimate on what it would cost to fix her opener. She then approved the estimate to get the work done. On that following Monday afternoon a technician was scheduled to go out to her property to get this issue resolved once and for all. Before arrival, [redacted] called the office and stated that she did not want any work done until the owner had called her. The owner did call and left a message for [redacted] to call him back. She never responded back.  On September 28th, [redacted] called [redacted] to follow up on the repair that was needed on her opener. [redacted] then told [redacted] that she got it repaired by someone else and hung up on him. Unfortunately, after many attempts to make this right with [redacted] she refused anymore service from A1 Garage Doors.  What actually transpired at [redacted] property is here say. The facts are, she called us out to fix her door. We got her door to work properly at a fair price. After fixing her door we discovered her opener was broken. We even offered to repair it at a fair price. [redacted] refused to pay for service she approved before any work was done. At which point technician started to disassemble the work he had completed. It was then [redacted] changed her mind and decided to pay. We have tried to make things right with her about the opener to no avail. In closing, it is our belief that [redacted] was trying to get one over on us by trying to get us to repair her opener for free. She was properly informed of pricing before any work was started and of possible opener issues. A1 Garage Doors does not proceed with any work unless the customer approves of the estimate. Therefore, our price for this repair was well within reason. [redacted] only wants to be compensated for something we did not touch or repair. We considered every solution to handle this situation with [redacted] and apparently could not be anymore of service to her because she got it repaired by someone else.
