Knight Pest Control has been coming out to my house for a rodent problem over the course of the past two weeks. They have missed several access points for the rodent and that being the case every night it accesses my pantry and eats a hole in my packages of food. So I called them this morning to complaint. As I spoke with the secretary about the rodent I used profanity and said the f word twice ,I said it referring to the rat not to the secretary. She then told me to change my language I said that I apologize that I was talking about the rats not her. She then said well you might speak to your wife and children that way but not me. So then I asked to speak to a supervisor it was the owner. He agreed with me that it's not always easy to hold back from using profanity when you're frustrated because he does it sometimes and when I tried to tell him about what she said to me he kept trying to sweep it under the rug. So at the very end of the conversation he says just so you know the woman you spoke to is a devout Christian so I can't tell her she is wrong for what she said. First off if you're a secretary you should be able to hold your composure when you're talking to customers, 2nd religion should not be introduced into a workplace if it compromises the disposition of workers especially people that deal with public relations

I am or rather was a pest control customer for quite some time. I had no complaints with my service until I found out that [redacted] was no longer at the company. I was contacted by "the new guy", and he told me he would be out the next day to do my treatment sometime in the early morning. It was almost 1:00 pm, and "the new guy" had not shown up and for that matter, has not called me.

I called the office and the receptionist put me on hold and said she would call the guy and find out where/when he would be to my home. She said his phone went to his voice message and she said she left a message.

Nearly an hour later, almost 2:15 pm, he showed up. I was not happy that I have been home all morning waiting for "the new guy" to show up. I could of been productive in doing my errands, if I didn't end up waiting nearly 6 hours.

His name was [redacted] and he did not so much as apologize or even mention the fact that he was extremely late, which really ticked me off. On top of his attitude, it was obvious that he was very insecure with himself and that was quite apparent once he started servicing my home. He didn't seem secure with what he was suppose to be doing, because he asked me numerous times what the tech before him did.

I'm sure he sensed that I was irritated because when he was through, I asked him to do a small area off the patio like [redacted] use to do and he said, "Well that will cost extra and if he did that for you then that was him, I'm not him, but if you want I will ask my boss". I told him I was a yearly customer and I shouldn't have to pay extra". He basically brushed it off and left. Didn't say goodbye, see you next time, if you need anything, etc.... He just left - I found him to be QUITE RUDE, SHORT TEMPERED, and NOT AT ALL knowledgeable, friendly, or even informative like [redacted], [redacted] or [redacted].

I cancelled my service 2 months later because again, [redacted] said he was coming one day and never showed up. He called 2 days later around 10:00 in the evening and left a message. The next day he called (3 days after he said he would be over) and TOLD me he was on his way. I responded with, "You DO NOT CALL MY HOME at 10:00 pm, and you sure as hell DON'T TELL ME you are on your way". This is MY HOME and I DECIDE WHO/WHEN someone can come over.

Review: We contracted Knight Termite to handle the fumigation of our home. They subcontracted Your Way Fumigation for part of the work. We were told our home would be secure at all times unless a crew was on site. Our home was entered either through an open window or an unlocked door during the night of 11/7/13 and we were robbed. However, it was noted that there was no indication that the window had been entered through because the items around the window were all in place. The thieves stole a safe, jewelry, cameras, a gun collection, cash, a coin collection, and much more. We estimate at this time that we lost close to $10,000 worth of personal items. The fumigation crew arrived Friday morning to take down the tent when they say they noticed an open sliding glass door and open window and that the house had been robbed and ransacked. We were out of town at the time and notified by phone. Our daughter arrived on site sometime later. I contacted the owner of Knight Termite Harris Taub by phone to ask for assistance in handling the situation and he was uncooperative and hostile stating it wasn't his problem. I expressed that as a result of their negligence and the negligence of their subcontractor we had been robbed. Further damage was done when the Sherriff's department fingerprinted items leaving behind black dust that resulted in damaging beyond repair our bedding, carpet in master bedroom and an upholstered dining chair. We feel that Knight Termite is directly responsible for all losses incurred and damages sustained.Desired Settlement: We expect to be compensated by Knight Termite for all losses and damages.

The customer was aware of the conditions that a tent fumigation is conducted. It states plainly on the termite report she received on 9/20/2013 that Knight Termite & Pest Control does not provide on-site security or assume any responsibility for the care and custody of the property. In the event of vandalism or breaking and entering. ALL VALUABLES SUCH AS JEWELERY,COINS,,COLLECTIBLES,PAINTINGS, AND OR CASH,SHOULD BE REMOVED PRIOR TO FUMIGATION. IT also states on the Occupants Fumigation Notice and Pesticide Disclosure that all customers must sign. Although your homeowners insurance should cover burglary, just as if it occurred at any other time, we suggest that you remove CASH,VALUABLE JEWELRY,WEAPONS, or another valuables during the fumigation. We cannot be responsible for losses occurring while the building is unattended. As our liability insurance does not cover theft or losses, we recommend renters or homeowners insurance be purchased by the homeowner or tenant. No company wants any customer to suffer any loss from our services and we are truly sorry this has happened to Mrs. [redacted]. We are waiting for the police report to determine if there were any standard conditions that were not met by Your Way fumigation company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

First I would like to share the wording in my paperwork from Knight Termite: "The structure is uncovered and aeration begins. During this time the windows and doors will be open while our crew is on the property. When they leave the structure will again be locked up." This is not the case. We spoke in great detail about security of our home with [redacted] the representative from Knight who was our main contact. He assured us our home would not be left unsecured and it was. We did not experience a "break in", our home was robbed by someone gaining entry through the negligence of Knight Termites subcontractor.
