I have pictures of the wires from the tech they where cut with the weed whacker after the new install which was not are fault if u have any concerns call the Managment company please thank u

We have already responded thanks

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I have pictures from the tech I hired to fix the...

problem and his statement saying that those wires were very brittle from extended exposure to weather and should have been replaced and wrapped properly when the new unit was installed.  I can give you the name and number of the tech I hired stating it was not my fault and there was no week whacker used behind the unit as none would fit.  The wires and hoses were not replaced like they should have been that is what caused the shorting out of the unit.Sincerely,[redacted]

I am sorry that u went thru that I will have to talk to the tech to see what is going on I will refund your money too u again that is not the way we do things at this company.

I will have to send several emails to get you all the pictures and the invoices from the company I had to hire to fix the problems.

Technician repair/services done to HVAC equipment.Scope of Work:No AC/AC wires shocked son-in-law while he was cleaning behind the condenserThe T-Stat wires were shorted to themselves due to the wire being bare. The 24v wires have beenrepaired by cutting the wire back to a spot where there was still insulation. Removing all the badwiring all the way into the condenser. Then adding about 2.5ft of new 18/2 24v CommWire fromthe new barrel connected splice back to the condenser 24v coil hookups. Next the existingrefrigerant lines had insulation around them at one time but the sun has aged the insulation to thepoint of it being brittle and flaking off. Someone tried to cover this with non-approved tape that isnot UV or UL listed. The tape and bad insulation was removed. New 1/2" synthetic approved foaminsulation was added as well as the appropriate UV and UL listed tape was used to cover therefrigerant lines and also secure the thermostat wires as approved by state and national codes.(See attached pictures). Finally the condenser fuses were replaced along with the 24v 5a fusedlink in the furnace.127.50HVAC Misc. The installing company of the newcooling system made a few potentially dangerous and potentially harmful mistakes to both humansand the new equipment. Unfortunately, due to their ignorance the warranty on the new Carrierequipment is voided. When I called and explained the situation to Carrier they made notes that theequipment would be label invalid due to the mistakes made by the installing company. I wassimply asking for the best way to rectify the mistakes made so the warranty could be retained andthey explained that the mistakes could have been rectified BEFORE the units were activated butnot after. Thus the evaporator coil and condenser are no longer covered by their warranty. I have alist of issues that need to be resolved. If it is warranted. Also this system was not inspected eitherand the city is now aware of that as well. Again trying to acquire information on the installingcompany that issue became known by myself and the city of Middleton. I feel ultimately theinstalling company is now in debt to the management company. The actions here areunacceptable and need to be further investigated then resolved to prevent further equipmentfailure and the possibility of reacquiring the 7yr Carrier warranty.0.00This invoice is for the unit located at [redacted] BALANCE DUE $194.50
