Knights Inn Motel

Review: This Econolodge is one of the prime examples of the worst businesses to ever give your business to. On May 25, around 11:30am, I booked a room for a June 12 checkut in through choicehotels.com which routed me to booking.com. When I got the confirmation, I noticed there must have been a glitch in the system because it noted a check in date of May 25. I immediately called booking.com and said there was nothing they can do I had to call the motel directly. There I spoke to PK who was beyond rude asking me how to do his job, calling me crazy, and stating that I don't know how to run a business. I told him I would like to speak to a manager and he told me there was no manager. I told him that there had to be someone he can contact so he agreed to call me back when he reached a manager. He called me back at 1:30pm and told me that due to their 24 hour cancellation policy they will cancel the reservation but still charge me for the two rooms. I told him I would have cancelled it if it was booked more than 24 hours in advance but it wasn't. In addition, I told him that the reservation was intended to be made for check in on June 12, not May 25 and there must have been a computer glitch He told me that computers do not work by themselves and it takes man power to operate it. Ironically, he told me that I did not know how to run a business when in reality he and his manager do not know how to run a business. The only business they know is how to rip people off from their money.Desired Settlement: I want a whole refund of $167.26 they charged my credit card without authorization to do so.

In any Motel business there is an online reservstion system which follows certain policy of it's own and we at ECONO LODGE (a CHOICE HOTELS franchisee) have certain online reservation policy which is clearly mentioned on the site, and one of them is - same day reservation cannot be cancelled and it's a non-refundable reservation (as it cannot be cancelled)
