Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:This is not entirely trueMy wife told them repeatedly to use quest diagnostics lab plan, they flat out refusedThey keep clinging on to the fact she did not hand them her lab card, which is silly because at the time they had no idea of its existence and would not have known what to do with it anywaysThey also told me at the time I first called that my insurance just started this recently and it was a new thing that they had never heard ofMy insurance has been doing this for at least yearsLastly, they never emailed meI used a DOJ gov email account that tracks everything for years there is nothin thereI had to call them repeatedly over the course of weeks just to get a response to my original inquiry. Although we are not a member of Revdex.com, we felt obliged to respond to this complaint.? I have reviewed Mr[redacted] complaint and would like to point out several important details that are not made clear in his complaint? When the patient’s wife came to the office, we were not given any
lab card so there was no way to check on the patient’s oral claim that her lab was Quest.? Notably, Labcorp is the primary in-network lab for all national Anthem members.? Apparently, there is a special program for GEHA members that we were not aware ofIt gives a small additional [redacted]efit only to GEHA membersHowever, normally, Quest would be out of network for Anthem members and we are very careful about sending labs out of network.? Without the card, we made sure to send the labs to a known in-network lab??"LabcorpMany labs are time sensitive and must be sent the same day.? When we found out about the issue from the [redacted], we contacted GEHA to understand the lab issue and have changed our protocols accordinglyNotably, GEHA requires that the member submit the card at the time of service if they want the additional [redacted]efit.? No card was presented to us at the time of service (nor am I aware that we have we ever received one)? In order to assist [redacted] and try to fully satisfy them, I contacted [redacted] at Labcorp ([redacted]), and asked for a waiver of the additional fees ( a courtesy that the labs offer based on the circumstances)[redacted] stated that she could seek an exception in this case.? ? I explained to [redacted] that this would take some time to resolve and to check back with the officeMy staff replied to his email when he emailed us about days laterWe told him it was still pending with Labcorp but should be resolved shortlyHe claims he did not receive it.? I also had previously told him that we have no control over the Labcorp billing process but were assured that it would be corrected? Several days ago we got another call from [redacted] stating that he was in collections.? I immediately contacted [redacted] at Labcorp and she assured me that he was not in collections but in a suspend status until this was resolvedShe also stated she would resolve directly with [redacted]? I contacted [redacted] and explained the status and gave him [redacted] information at Labcorp to follow-up.? ? According to my current information, this matter will be resolved and the [redacted] will not pay anything.? ? As you can see, we made multiple efforts to assist the [redacted] although we were not obliged to do so.? We hope this clarifies the matter? Respectfully, ? [redacted] Practice Manager
