Knoble Moving Company Reviews (3)

Review: I used this moving company for a cross country move.

The company claims to be a professional moving service when in fact they rented a budget rental truck

To move my items. Not only that but they were unable to move the couch up the stairs and damaged the couch that I now have to sell. They dismantled my bed frame without any tools therefore ruining the bed frame. I sent pictures and was told that he would speak to his crew. He wouldn't listen to me and denied having any knowledge of the damage to the bed frame despite the pictures I sent claiming he had to speak with the crew and didn't see the damage at one point he even insinuated that I was the one to blame for the damage.. He has refused to respond to my texts or phone calls. I've asked that he pay me back for the damage, even though the particular bed frame is discontinued - I still

Managed to buy one of equal value- which isn't that much. In the contract it alleged that the services will be performed professionally in a first class manner. The contract also alleges that all furniture will be reassembled. Which obviously didn't happen.

The gentleman who helped him in the move was incredibly rude

Asking me for extra money every time Kevin wasn't around. He also was swearing and carrying on when they were trying to move the couch up the steps- which there are many children and families that reside in the building. The gentleman also kept telling me to help move the couch because I was stronger and had a better back than

Him.

Once I paid Kevin- I could hear this man outside laying on the horn because he

Was ready to leave. It was extremely unprofessional and rude.

This company didn't care about my belongings and shouldn't be out there cheating people out of their hard earned money.Desired Settlement: I want him to pay me 300$ for the bed frame his crew destroyed and 100$ for the damage to my new couch.

Review: I used Knoble Moving for a move from a storage unit to my brand new townhome on April 26, 2013 at 3:00pm. The movers showed up an hour late to the storage facility and did not bring a truck big enough to hold all of my furniture (which added an additional 1.5 to my move because the movers had to figure out how they were going to fit all of my furniture into the moving truck that was too small). Prior to the move I spoke with the Director, [redacted], about the protection of my brand new hardwood floors. He said, "No problem, I will make sure that the moving team puts protection on your floor to prevent any damage." The movers ended up not using any protection on my hard wood floors and ultimately scratched my floors and dented my walls in several places. A day after the move, I reached out to [redacted] via phone and then email on April 28, 2013 to let him know about the damage to my floors and walls and he promised he would get the repairs done as soon as possible. I provided [redacted] with an estimate on June 18, 2013. Between April 26, 2013 and today, August 26, 2013, [redacted] has set up four appointments to come see the damage and make the repairs and failed to follow-through and more importantly let me know that he needed to reschedule. **. [redacted], no longer answers my phone calls or emails and has yet to repair the damages his moving crew made to my new townhome. I also contacted **. [redacted] on August 17, 2013 to express my concerns and dissatisfaction and I have yet to receive a response. **. [redacted]'s professionalism with handling my repairs that he promised are beyond disappointing.

Review: I hired Knoble Moving to move our family's belonging from [redacted], VA to [redacted], VA. My confirmation read: "The cost would be $109.00 per hour everything included plus and $50.00 processing fee. 4 men with straps and dolly; Full coverage insurance on all items movedPadding and flooring protection; No extra cost for stairs inside the home and long hauls; All wrap and furniture padding (wood items,glass,mirrors,T.V. ,etc); Dis- ensemble and Re- ensemble of all furniture When they showed up on moving day, April 7th 2013, they arrived 45 minutes late with 3 guys instead of 4. They did not provide any padding and/or flooring protection and did not wrap or pad the majority of our furniture. They only piece that was padded was the china closet and the only pieces wrapped was our couches and the wrap they used was some we provided. Although Knoble was provided a complete itemized list of what we had prior to the move, the truck they brought for the move was too small and thus, wasted almost 2 hours just rearranging the furniture to fit.As a result, the majority of our furniture is scratched, dented or damaged. The walls at the old house were damaged and floors were badly scratched. And the overall cost of the move was higher then necessary because of the wasted time.I tried contacting Knoble via email and phone several times including on the day of the move and the week after. All of my contacts were ignored. Finally 2 weeks later, I received a call back with them acknowledging the terrible service and they promised to provide financial assistance to help cover the furniture. The next 2 weeks I tried resolving this issue with them but again every phone call and email was ignored. Finally I was told they would come out to look at the furniture and twice they didn't show up at the promised time. At that point I asked for $425 in financial assistance to settle the matter, and on May 8th at 8pm I was promised by [redacted] that they will fulfill my claim. As of today they have not.Desired Settlement: At this point, I am asking for a full refund of my move of $798 that I paid via check on April 7, 2013.
