I have reviewed the response made by the
business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that
my complaint has NOT been resolved because: The photographs taken and submitted to Knockout Pest Control will show that the
stains are exactly as they were at the time of my complaint to them. No
further action from me was taken at the time because I was told by them that
soap and water would take the stains off the house. My response was that
the stains were due to their negligence and I should not have to be responsible
for attempting to remove the stains. They were unresponsive and basically
dismissed my claim. I finished my contract with them purely because I had
already paid for their services and could not get a refund. Clearly if I
was pleased with them, then I would have renewed the contract. Their lack
of responsiveness, low level of customer service and failure to admit their
negligence were compelling reasons to not renew the contract. If they had
been a responsible and acknowledged that they had caused this damage, then I
would likely still be utilizing their servicesThe passage of time or subsequent service is irrelevant in this
case. The scope of the damage was clearly documented with
photographs and the stains visible on my house presently are exactly as they
were in the photographs I took when I raised the issue to Knockout. I
have power washed my house twice since the damage was incurred and still the
stains persist. Their same demeanor now was what I encountered then. After they basically
blew me off, I was not sure of how to proceed and felt that I had no recourse
and had to accept their lack of responsibility and efforts to resolve the
situation. After receiving legal counsel, I was advised to contact the
Revdex.com. They might as well have thrown paint at our house. Please
see the attached images. The responsibility for this is 100% on
Knockout. They did not accept reasonability then and obviously
aren't doing so now. I will not accept anything less than the restoration
of my house to the state it was prior to the damage caused by their negligence.

Tell us why here...We did work at this client’s home months ago in June of
and have not heard from them since August regarding this issue. We advised them that soap and water would clean any residue
IF left by the products we used. If this
did not work they should have contacted
us over a year ago. They had subsequent services by our company never lodging a
further complaint.Their annual contract expired in June 2015.If there is in fact a stain NOW we would not know what other
companies have serviced the home possibly causing the stain or if the homeowner
applied products that may have caused the current issueWe will not accept responsibility for this complaint

Review: I have a wasp problem and called Knockout on Saturday, July [redacted] to get rid of the wasps. They quoted a price of $250 and $375 if the representative had to go on the ladder on the phone. The service representative that came to my house around 4 p.m. found one digger wasp hole and put a powder down the hole. He did not go up on a ladder and did not inspect the rest of my backyard after he found the one digger wasp hole in the ground. He wanted to charge me $375. I said that I was quoted $250 and $375 if he went on a ladder, which he didn't. He then charged me $250. When I asked him if there was a guarantee on his work if there were still wasps the following day, he said there would be another fee. I was extremely unsatisfied with this answer and that he did not look at the rest of my backyard.

On Sunday, there were numerous wasps flying in my yard. On Monday, I received a call that my credit card did go through and they were looking for payment. I never received a call to see if the service call got rid of the wasps. I have told the company that I was unsatisfied with the service call and the service representative and that I still have digger wasps. I do not want this representative to come back on my property since he did not perform the service properly. Knockout will come back at no charge to get rid of the wasps if I pay the $250 fee. I do not want them back since the first treatment didn't work and there is no guarantee that it will work when they return. In addition, for the last two weeks, I have been getting rid of the digger wasps myself.Desired Settlement: I do not want to pay $250 for a service that did not get rid of my wasp problem. I have spent the last two weeks getting rid of the wasps myself.

Business

Response:

The client has digger wasps in her lawn.

The client signed a contract for $250.00 plus tax. The contract clearly states that there would be no service contract.

this is due to the nature of the pests are difficult to totally eliminate although our treatment would reduce the population.

the service was done on Saturday July [redacted]. Credit card information was taken and processed on Monday. On Monday the credit card was declined by the bank. [redacted] did not respond to our many calls and emails for a new card or other payment.

We heard from [redacted] on August [redacted] and she informed us she was unhappy with our service. Although our signed agreement does not allow for follow up service, it was offered for FREE if she paid the agreed amount.

we are willing to write off this debt rather than service her again. You may want to let her know that her threats to go to all social media printing false facts is libel. In addition paying for service with a credit card she knows to be not valid is a crime that the D. A. could prosecute.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Just a note, I have never made a previous complaint to the Revdex.com. I felt extremely violated and felt the need to contact the Revdex.com. In addition, Knockout received correct credit card information from a valid credit card from me.

Thank you for your help in this resolution. It is much appreciated!

Sincerely,

Review: We hired Knockout for their quarterly maintenance program. They had excellent reviews on [redacted] and the price was reasonable. We had our first treatment last July. The technician did his job without issue but shortly after he left, I realized that whatever had been sprayed on the outside of my house had stained the siding. I contacted them and emailed images that documented the damage. They insisted that what the technician sprayed should not have caused the stains and that they should disappear with soap and water. Subsequent follow-up calls were met with a lack of responsibility or customer service on their part. Basically they did not own up to or take any steps to try to remove the stains. In no uncertain terms, I told them that I should not have to clean up a mess they created. Again, they insisted that soap and water would remove the stains and were unresponsive otherwise. I have since power washed my house twice. The stains are still present. I have tried talking to someone other than their receptionist but they have basically dismissed the issue. They insist that their technician's records indicate that what was applied to our house should not have stained. Either their technician is lying or they are. So, basically they can ruin someone's home and not be held responsible or compelled to be responsible to right a wrong.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is simple, I want the stains removed so that my house is no-longer an eyesore. Even if that means new siding.
