I accept the businesses terms as they have been laid outClearly I was under the impression that their services included proactive guidance and data protections that they do notI was also under the impression that I would not receive the typical canned response to my refund request, and would have felt like a valued customer through a reasonable and fair refundMy mistake

Hello,We do apologize but this customer is not due any refund per our terms of service for several reasons.Our day refund policy only applies to new customers which can be found here, under Section subsection (e) https://www.knownhost.com/terms-of-service.html#3Furthermore, this client suffered
a catastrophic failure of a dedicated hardware system rented to himOur technicians took immediate action to bring the hardware back online, replacing any necessary parts to bring the system back to full operationSince the client suffered a failure of the primary system disk, all data had to be restored from backupsIt was further determined that the clients backup disk had been full for several months, not allowing proper backups to be takenThe system is designed that it will email notices and warnings to the client on each of these failures and it would have been the clients responsibility to rectify this issue and ensure that his backups are upto date and current.Per our terms of service item 16, all clients are required to keep a backup copy of their datahttps://www.knownhost.com/terms-of-service.html#16In addition to section 10, https://www.knownhost.com/terms-of-service.html#which is our disclaimer of warranties Again, we are truly sorry that this customer has had a bad experience, but during the entire time this individual has been a customer services have been rendered and properly providedData loss due to the lack of a customer maintaining their backups is not grounds for any refund of past issued services

A refund has already been issued in this case before this complaint was submittedAs ** *** was told on the phone this morning we would need time to investigate his claimsWe decided to issue a refund even though it was outside of our policy and terms

I accept the businesses terms as they have been laid out. Clearly I was under the impression that their services included proactive guidance and data protections that they do not. I was also under the impression that I would not receive the typical canned response to my refund request, and would have felt like a valued customer through a reasonable and fair refund. My mistake.
