StarTechpc.com [redacted] Austin, TX [redacted] Revdex.com Corporate Office [redacted] Dear Revdex.comCase ID# [redacted] Customer [redacted] brought the laptop for repair because it was broken on April 21, The screen come on and then it goes off all the timeA lot of times the screen will not come on and no pictureWe run a diagnostic and determined that the cable inside connecting the screen to the motherboard of the laptop is badSo you have to remember, this laptop is a ***, which is a foreign or Chinese brand and a lot of times the parts are impossible to findSo we went on line and order the part for the laptop the best we couldWhen we got the part, it was the wrong one and we could not find the part for this laptop anywhere because is a foreign brandSo we call the customer to tell him to pick it up because there is nothing we could do for him in the beginning of MayThe customer did not tell us when he was going to pick it up or call use to let us knowThen it took the customer month to pick it up and he just show up one dayWe put the laptop back as best we can and return to the customer like it was, still broken like when he drops it offThe customer should be mad at himself for picking up the laptop so late, month laterAlso we do have a policy that if you don't pick up your computer in days, it is property of [redacted] and we charge a diagnostic feeBut we did not charge him a diagnostic fee and give him the laptop back because we are nice and we careRegards, [redacted] ***, Owner of Startechpc

I am rejecting this response because:To clerify, I have recived a total of phone calls from Startechpc. The first call from StartechPC (STPC) was days after I had called them to find out the status of the laptop to weeks after I dropped of the laptopI was told that the first part was not a fix for the problem and that they had ordred a 2nd partSaying it was hard to findThey asked if I wanted to wait for the 2nd partI said I would but that I would like to be notified of the statusI was told that it would not be a problem to get this notification The 2nd call from STPC was hours after I had called again requesting statusThey told me the 2nd part again was not working, but that they ad ordred a 3rd part but where not sure if it would be the correct part or notThey asked what I wanted to doI said I would wait again if the part is so hard to find then it would be the same somewhere else, but that I was very unhappy with the lack of communication and wanted to be notifed on status. Yet again I had not heard anythingBecause of their early closing hours and my work schedule I was not able to get by easly to pick up the laptopWhen I did, I was told I could not have it because the counter person could not touch anything on their workstationI was told that they where still waiting on a part and still working on itI asked has my laptop been disassemled this whole time? He refused to answer the questionHe was also at one point on the phone with the owner *** *** and Mr*** made no effort to talk to me via the phone call that was happening feet infront of meThe counter person did say, "are you sure? times and made a comment about "thats not right" all in referance to the return of my laptopI do not know what was said, but I have nice owners that care and are willing to talk to a valued customer I did get the laptop backDamaged and still missing partsThe police officer I called and who recored the exchange asked the counter person"You will be getting this gentalman his missing parts, correct?" The courter person said "Yes" I waited week and yet again did not recive a call from anyone in the company and still do not have my missing screws and component coverI also have a video and pictures of the new physical damage and the first reboot of the laptop which now seems to have non-functional wifi which I can only assume is due to electrostatic damage from being left disassmbled for an extended period I gave this company multiple chances to do what was right and to meet the most basic effrots of proffesionalism and customer serviceI also have a picture of the document they made me sign which I detail at the time of pickup the damage and condition of the laptopI also waited in the store for over hours and even had time to call the police and have an officer showup and record the basics of the exchange To summerize: I dropped of the laptop to get item repairedIn months I got calls from the companyAt no time did they or I say as Mr*** states, that it was impossible and that I sould stop by and pick up the laptopI was also never told I needed to call before coming by for any reasonI and the austin police officer where told that after I picked up the laptop they would find the missing parts and get them back to meNo effort in the past weeks have been made by the company or it's owner to contact me and return my propertyI also have a laptop that is now crtically damage beyond the condition I placed it into their hands I challange Mr*** to provide evidence of his claimsI have pictures, videos, APD recorded statements, and will be happy to pull my own phone records to verify the calls from Startechpc and the dates/times if neededAs well as my willingness to have a reputable company lookover the current state of the laptop

The customer did not tell us when he was going to pick it up or call use to let us know. Then it took the customer 3 month to pick it up and he just show up one day. We put the laptop back as best we can and return to the customer like it was, still broken like when he drops it off. The customer should be mad at himself for picking up the laptop so late, 3 month later. Also we do have a policy that if you don't pick up your computer in 30 days, it is property of [redacted] and we charge a diagnostic fee.
