KOA Campgrounds Reviews (4)

Booked cabin by phone directly with KOA Nashville, recieved conformation email, myy credit card was billed in full for the rental of the cabin. Upon arrival was told that the cabin they had selected for me had not been cleaned and so I should wait while they selected another cabin for me. After ten minute wait, was told that the cabin I they had originally selected for me *was [redacted] the cabin I was getting after all and I was given the key and told to move in. Cabin had NOT been cleaned (full of beer cans, trash in trash can, floor dirty and unswept. I cleaned the cabin myself. I noticed that when the door was closed there was a 1/2 inch gap between the door and the door frame, permitting insects into the cabin. I took the bag of trash and beer cans to the front office and asked for another cabin. I was referred to the manager who identified himself as Aaron B. [redacted] at my request he provided a business card in that name. I mentioned that the cabin had not in fact been cleaned (as I was told upon check-in), that I had cleaned it myself (showing the bag of beer cans and trash I collected), that the door didn't close properly (allowing insects inside) and requested another cabin. Mr. [redacted] told me that no other cabins were available and that "that cabin door is just fine". I reiterated that the cabin door had a 1/2 gap between door and door frame and thus was not insect-tight. [redacted] said that the cabin was a "rustic" cabin and that amount of gap was "just fine". I suggested that perhaps he might adjust the rate to reflect the issue with the door and the fact that I needed to clean the cabin myself. [redacted] said "why would I adjust the rate when I am at 100% capacity for the night and that if I didn't like the cabin I was free to leave and seek accommodations elsewhere. I stated that it was dark and raining and that I would remain in the cabin but communicate my displeasure with the KOA Corporation in Billings, MT and would post a scathing online review noting both the structural defects in the cabin, the failure to clean the cabin and Mr [redacted] hostile, confrontational and most atypical (for a KOA) behavior. 10 minutes later [redacted] returned to my cabin and stated that he had refunded my money and that I was to leave the property immediately or he would call the police and have me arrested for trespass. I stated that I had a confirmed reservation, that I had paid in full for the substandard accommodations that I had no desire to leave at night and in the rain. I also stated that I believed that I had a legal right to remain since I had paid for the accommodations. The Nashville Police were called by Mr. [redacted] and the police advised me that I should leave and should take up the issues with my treatment with the appropriate authorities.. I was able to find alternate accommodations (at a rate of nearly $300 for a suite, the only vacancy I could find after calling 11 hotels (who all had no vacancies) Hotheads like [redacted] should not be placed in a position where they interact with the public. [redacted] decision to throw me out of the campground was made immediatly after I stated that I was posting a negative review on KOA.com. But since KOAs records show that I didn't actually STAY there I was NOT able to post my experiences on KOA.com. Abusing the Nashville PD by involving them in a civil diagreement over conditions as the campgound and taking away my ability to post an unfavorable review display [redacted] cowardice as well as his temper.

I stay in the extended stay and have been here due to no other option while in schoolThey do not have wifi it's a lie, cable is cloudy, water has dirt and metal in linesThere is no parking and people park in the grass and mud which makes it impossible to keep anything cleanThe trees here are dead and falling on top off campersI have told them that things need to be cut down They are rude rude rude, they are making money off renters and talk to us like dirtThe Koa just needs to go broke so they can understand why customer service is important

They are rude rude rude, they are making money off renters and talk to us like dirt. The Koa just needs to go broke so they can understand why customer service is important.
