This company's owner literally told my wife providing a quote would be "a waste of time." Let me begin by saying that I have recently moved to the Dayton area and purchased a home In doing so, I have undertaken new responsibilities that have limited my time, and am unable to care for my lawn the way it should be cared for As that has been established, my lawn was in bad need of a trim Enter the search for a comprehensive lawn care provider I do my homework, just like you, which is why I am on the Revdex.com, and that is where I found contact information for Oakwood Lawn & Landscaping I had researched several companies and narrowed the list to candidates for my wife to contact based on my findings She has attempted to contact the 4, only of which have reciprocated The first agreed to trim the lawn and provide a quote for additional services The second was Oakwood The representative at Oakwood began by giving my wife a "window" for when the sales associate would arrive to give a quote, which was between 8:and 9:am We all are busy, but this practice of providing a "window" is tacky, outdated, and wreaks of a cable company Which is the way the Oakwood person acted, like a greasy cable company worker (turns out he is the father of the owner) So, window provided, the sales person the proceeded to arrive minutes late This tardiness caused my wife to miss appointments that she had made (she is physician) As he walked around the house and evaluated the property, he posed the question to my wife "What services are you interested in?" She replied that we were interested in everything His response to her was "It is a waste of time for me to provide a quote if we aren't going to use them for lawn services." He then proceeded to ask what other companies had provided regarding prices for services they had quoted, with the intention of under-cutting them With these remarks made the conversation was basically terminated and he left Here is the skinny of it all: If you can't respect mine or my families time and are in the business of undercutting your competitors just to get ahead, then YOU sir are not worth MY time Furthermore, any independent business owner that overtly states to a prospective customer that it is "not worth my time" to provide a quote for services, must not need new business Consider this, if they treat prospective customers this way and if you are a current customer how are you really being treated? The bottom line is this: there are MANY other companies available that I can hire that will be more than willing to accept my money

Highly recommend John and his staff for any of your landscaping needs Professional, courteous, and quality workmanship with every job performed Very happy with any project they have done for me Give them a call for your next landscaping project

This company's owner literally told my wife providing a quote would be "a waste of time."

Let me begin by saying that I have recently moved to the Dayton area and purchased a home. In doing so, I have undertaken new responsibilities that have limited my time, and am unable to care for my lawn the way it should be cared for. As that has been established, my lawn was in bad need of a trim. Enter the search for a comprehensive lawn care provider. I do my homework, just like you, which is why I am on the Revdex.com, and that is where I found contact information for Oakwood Lawn & Landscaping. I had researched several companies and narrowed the list to 4 candidates for my wife to contact based on my findings. She has attempted to contact the 4, only 2 of which have reciprocated. The first agreed to trim the lawn and provide a quote for additional services. The second was Oakwood.
The representative at Oakwood began by giving my wife a "window" for when the sales associate would arrive to give a quote, which was between 8:30 and 9:00 am. We all are busy, but this practice of providing a "window" is tacky, outdated, and wreaks of a cable company. Which is the way the Oakwood person acted, like a greasy cable company worker (turns out he is the father of the owner). So, window provided, the sales person the proceeded to arrive 10 minutes late. This tardiness caused my wife to miss appointments that she had made (she is physician). As he walked around the house and evaluated the property, he posed the question to my wife "What services are you interested in?" She replied that we were interested in everything. His response to her was "It is a waste of time for me to provide a quote if we aren't going to use them for lawn services." He then proceeded to ask what other companies had provided regarding prices for services they had quoted, with the intention of under-cutting them. With these remarks made the conversation was basically terminated and he left.

Here is the skinny of it all: If you can't respect mine or my families time and are in the business of undercutting your competitors just to get ahead, then YOU sir are not worth MY time. Furthermore, any independent business owner that overtly states to a prospective customer that it is "not worth my time" to provide a quote for services, must not need new business.
