Review: I have requested by phone, email, and certified letter that Koeppel Subaru cancel and reimburse me for several add-on items that were sold to me at the time of my financing of my used Subaru on July **, 2013. My most recent certified letter of May **, 2014 has not had a response either. My initial request was at the time of signing the paperwork, and was told that it was "too late" to change anything. After persistent requests, Subaru finally reimbursed me $995 for "Added Security Maintenance". The other items, $995 for identity theft protection, $1589 for security coding, and $2395 for an intercept program, have not been resolved.

As I stated to Subaru and even in a personal letter to [redacted] sent to his residence, I believe they used unscrupulous means to convince me to add on these features -- none of which have reduced my insurance, as promised, or even been activated, as I learned when I called "ITP" to cancel on my own.Desired Settlement: To have Subaru finally answer my letters to acknowledge my complaints and to refund any/all monies.

Sincerely,

Review: On the [redacted] of September 2014 T wanted tried to purchase a vehicle, I left them a $2000.00 down payment towards a vehicle ($1000.00 cash $1000.00 charge). Within 5 days of being approved and non-approved to being approved again and not answering our phone calls. I were tired lack of respect this dealership had for us, On [redacted] of September 2014 I had to call out of work and drive down to the dealership because they wasn't answering my calls, e-mails, and/or responding to my voice mails for 5 days straight, upon written request I arranged for a re-fund. On the [redacted] of September 2014I have gotten the $1000.00 charge back into my account but I haven't received the other half of my total down payment ($2000.00.Desired Settlement: I just want my $1000.00 that koeppel Subaru owes me. Its far too long and I need a car.

Review: After needed cosmetic repairs on my 2005 Subaru Outback, the service department told me that it had damage to the "axle boots" and that this would cause the gradual deterioration to my axle. So being a responsible vehicle owner I chose to have the "axle boots" repaired to prevent permanent damage to the car that would eventually lead to more money being spent. The cost of the total repairs was around $2200. After I noticed that the car began making an odd noise when I turned my vehicle I bought the car back to have it looked at not 1 time not 2 times not 3 times but 4 times over the past several years....now after a routine oil change at my local pep boys, the mechanics told me that both of my "axle boots" were cracked and my struts were now leaking which would eventually cause my axel to snap in half which could cause catastrophic damage to myself, vehicles and others. These mechanics lied to me on all occasions and have now stranded me with a car that is falling apart and soon to be deemed use less.

My most recent visit to Koeppel Subaru was because I wanted to trade the vehicle this dealership destroyed to avoid costly and possible injury causing accidents. The Salesperson "[redacted]" offered me $1500 for a trade in...as a person that needs a vehicle I have found myself in a serious bind and Action must be taken. I have spent thousands of dollars to repair this car when nothing was repaired!!! The car is in the same exact shape it was when I dropped the car off originally!!!! VERY UPSET VERY FRUSTRATED

To Whim it May Concern,

Review: It was requested of to me by a sales representative, [redacted] that I sign a credit check report before making a final decision on leasing a vehicle. I signed under the pretense as a sign of good faith under the pretense that nothing would be done with my credit until confirmation was given. I then gave [redacted] explicit instruction that it should not be run until I checked with my father who would be a cosigner and/or actual purchaser of the vehicle. Before I left the dealership (still not making a final decision). [redacted] words to me were, "I'll shred the document if you call me and tell me you don't want the deal". I, later that same day called [redacted] to let him know that I was no longer interested.

I then retrieved a voicemail on my cell phone that dates Friday, October [redacted] at 1:05pm. It states "[redacted], how you doing, it's [redacted] over at Koepell Subaru. Just calling to follow up. I just want to let you know that the 2014 Crosstreks are in, so if you wanted to give me a call back just to touch base to see if you're still on the market or not my number is [redacted] and it's [redacted] again from Koeppel Subaru."

I received a letter in the mail that is dated on 10/**/2013. It reads "Dear applicant, thank you for applying to us for vehicle financing. After carefully reviewing your application, we are sorry to advise you that we cannot provide credit to you at this time or that we cannot provide credit on the terms you requested...".

My father contacted [redacted] a manager at Koeppel Subaru on Saturday November [redacted] to explain the situation and to set up an appointment to meet with both him and [redacted]. [redacted] advised my father that [redacted] is on vacation and is unsure of when he's coming back. My father and I still plan on setting up an appointment whenever [redacted] and [redacted] are available to meet together.

Now, trying to apply for financing with a cosigner at another Subaru dealer, I am told that where my interest rates could have been 1% it is now 3 times more because I was "denied" by Koeppel Subaru.Desired Settlement: I have a few desired outcomes. I want it to be made known that my credit should not have been checked because I did not apply for financing. As far as Settlement, I want Koeppel Subaru's finance director to reach out to whatever consumer reporting agency (to include [redacted]) that they originally contacted and explain in writing that they in fact ran my credit in error. I want Koeppel Subaru to make it their business to reverse and repair whatever negative impact they created on my credit (to include high interest rates). I also want Koeppel Subaru to apologize for the incredible inconvenience they have caused me.

Review: I purchased a brand new vehicle from Koeppel subaru on 08/**/2013. I Agreed to a certain price with the dealership and and added an additional warranty for $2500.00. When I walked out of the dealership I wasn't given all the paperwork, which included the bill of sale showing the amount how much the car will cost me. I agreed to a price around 330k for the car, after looking through all the paperwork the price of the car came out to be almost $34k. I dealt with [redacted] who was my sales associate. she was acting dishonest throughout the whole time, she didnt give me all the paperowrk on time, she didnt give me the window sticker and bill of sale. She added extra stuff onto the car that I didnt understand, I apparently purchased an extra security coding for $995.00 and IDT for $499.00 which I still dont know what it is. This dealership has really taken advanage of me and the fact that my english isnt so well. they have been dishonest through the whole transaction taking on stuff I wasnt aware of to the purchase price.Desired Settlement: I would like the dealership to stop taking advantage of people that do not speak a lot of eniglish and to refund me my money back for the

Review: I would just like to let everyone know about my experience with Koeppel Subaru. I had inquired about a vehicle they had on their used car lot (2008 Acura Tl Type S, 51k miles) along with showing my interest, I asked numerous questions about the vehicle/expressed my concerns (as I am an out of state buyer) I asked the salesmen to be my eyes and tell me anything that was wrong with the vehicle. I was assured that everything was fine with the vehicle was free or any and all mechanical/electrical issues. I was made aware of a few exterior flaws with the car and was fine with them (knowing it was used and a 2008 it would have some wear) After being assured I went ahead and purchased on 5/**/2013 and that thursday had finalized all paperwork making it mine. I had the vehicle picked up and driven off Long Island, where it was Trailered the rest of the way Via vehicle transport on 6/*/2013, I received the vehicle on 6/*/2013 (the next day) upon delivery of my car, I noted some discrepancies that the vehicle had (Multiple Codes on dash, AC not working, compressor not kicking on and blowing hot air, unusually rough vibration at idle) All of which I was not made aware of. I asked NUMEROUS times about the condition of vehicle. I called Monday 6/*/2013 and spoke with [redacted] ( the sales manager) When I spoke with him about my concerns, he was Extremely rude and borderline inappropriate. Basically he told me that he wasn't required to do anything for me as I was out of state and actually tried to be little me by yelling and talking at me, treating me like I was a sg. (This is less than 3 days after pickup and transport) I requested to speak to someone else and he declined my request. I hung up after the shock of how I was being treated. I called back and asked to speak to someone else and explained my situation and how I was treated. I was referred to [redacted] (The GM ) I left a message requesting a call back (never received) Sent an email explaining in detail what was wrong with the vehicle, the time frame of when it was purchased, picked up and delivered and also how I was treated by a member of his staff. Days later I received an email back from "[redacted]" stating it wasn't his policy to consider a vehicle for warranty unless it was at his dealership and that if I wanted to have it considered I would have to bring it back. How would I accomplish this? Have it transported back, and then back to my state, again?! I never once raised my voice, got upset or demanded anything. He never mentioned anything about how I was treated or anything about trying to help the situation that they had put me in. I understand ware and tare of a used vehicle, I was told numerous times that there were no issues. Is this how you treat members of the Military? Taking advantage of Hard working honest people just to make a quick buck? What ever happened to doing the right thing and Treating people with respect? I will be submitting this to the Revdex.com and I will post this on every one of your FaceBook pages EVERY day, along with share it with the few thousand friends I have on here. So no one else has to be treated or put in the same situation I am. Spending thousands on a vehicle I just purchased and have only driven back and forth to the Acura dealership having it looked at. Doing the right thing isn't that hard. I really expected more from a "quality" dealershipDesired Settlement: I would like the vehicle AS stated with NO issues. At this point I have had to pay the money out of my pocket to have the vehicle fixed. I would like to be reimbursed for any and all mechanical issues that were found with the vehicle such as Air conditioning, motor mounts, fuel cap and all labor.

[redacted],

Thank you for your attention to this matter. This is a rather unusual matter for us as the customer does not reside in the same state as we do business. [redacted] has also started a libelous campaign against us on multiple websites prior to opening a compliant with your organization.

I have previously reviewed [redacted]’s compliant and denied him the monetary restitution he requested. I formed my decision by interviewing the service manager and technician that initially performed the service on the vehicle prior to sale. I also reviewed the work orders for the vehicle which added up to approximately $2800.00. All aspects of the vehicle were checked in accordance with our policies and procedures. The items that were checked included the air conditioning system and it was found to be functioning properly. There were no malfunction codes present on the vehicle.

The usual course of action would be to have the vehicle brought back to the dealership in accordance with New York States used vehicle warranty procedure. We would then inspect the vehicle and form our decision on how to move forward. Because the vehicle is currently 1000 miles from our location this is not possible. [redacted] also assigned a representative to take physical delivery and inspect the vehicle on his behalf. We were in a heat wave of over 90 degree weather when the vehicle was picked up from our location. I would assume a malfunctioning air conditioning unit would have been evident to his representative at the time he picked it up and drove it to a transporter.

Based on the information at hand, the fact the vehicle changed hands twice prior to [redacted] receiving it, and our inability to inspect the vehicle and claims on our own behalf my position stands that I will not be granting any monetary award to [redacted]. If he chooses to continue his libelous writing on the internet about our company I will address them as needed.

Review: In December 2013,I purchased a 2013 Subaru Impreza from Koeppel Subaru in Long Island City, N.Y. which has been giving me driving problems for the past 3 months. The car has had difficulty starting, has left me stranded a few times. After receiving battery boosts that were still unsuccessful, I took the car into Bayridge Subaru in Brooklyn. They evaluated that the car had a dead cell in the battery and changed the battery. I asked them to also check the alternator and they claimed that was not necessary and the alternator was fine. I also informed them that the airbag warning light would not go off and remained on once the car was turned on. They told me this in normal..I don't believe that is normal. I informed Koeppel Subaru of all these circumstances and then find out that they sold me a used car. Before buying the car, I was told that the car was not pre-owned, was only a floor model used for test drives. I was rushed through the paperwork in their office (Koeppel), did not observe that they "checked used" on the sales contract(probably checked after my signing contract). The car deal was fradulent, the car is unsafe. Under the "Lemon Law"I want a full refund (from Koeppel and CSC, Logic, holder of car loan). I am not going to be forced to pay $30,000.00 for a used car that has given me a lot of unnecessary distress. After the repairs were made on car, I left the car with Bayridge Subaru because the care is unsafe to drive.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my car down payment of $5,000.00. I also want a full refund of the car payments I have made to Bank United and CSC Logic, Inc. Bank United sold my car loan to CSC Logic. I have made 7 car payments to date totaling $1661.10 (subtracting interest payments totaling $898.17)Under the "Lemon Law" for new and used cars, I am entitled to a full refund of my money.

Review: On January [redacted] I went to this business and got charged 149.95 for basically nothing. My car showed check engine light on and after rebooting the computer the light went off. No other repair was done.Desired Settlement: I would like Refunds

Business

Response:

An initial diagnosis charge is applicable on all vehicles brought into the service department. This charge covered a technician assessing your vehicles' problem, rebooting your vehicles ECU, and resetting the check engine light. Also NYS sales tax was collected. If you have any further questions about your bill please contact the [redacted] directly at ###-###-####.

Review: I purchased a 2004 Mercedes Benz wagon in 2011 that had a 2 year warranty. The first month the warranty was dropped leaving me with the lemon I have since found out the car has electrical problems also and have spent over 5000 dollars in repairs for the car . Now the car needs a new air 4matic suspension which costs 1700 dollars when I called the dealership and explained the warranty was void the [redacted] told me that's what you get when you buy a Benz. I am a disabled individual who uses a wheelchair and explained to him I did not want to inherit someone else's problem. I have had nothing but problems with the car since day one of purchasing it the first night I took the car out the abs brakes failed they had to tow the car. There is a mechanic shop next door to the dealership that is involved with the dealership that is helping them cover up the fact that they are selling lemons . I had to take the car back several times to which the shop would not give me a diagnosis of the car they just kept fixing the car. Not knowing about a lemon laws of New York State I had given a 1000$ deposit to which the dealership told me I had to go through with the deal or forfeit my 1000$ to which I just couldn't afford to. Hence I am on social security income. Please look into this businesses practices and make sure no one else gets taken by them. I look forward to hearing from you in a timely manner thanking you in advance.Desired Settlement: I want the warranty to be put back on the car.

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern,

I have reviewed the complaint by [redacted] and find that in this situation there is nothing I can do to either pay for repairs on his vehicle or issue him additional warranty coverage. The accusation that we “cover up selling lemons” could not be more that further from the truth. We are an upstanding business that retails over 200 pre-owned vehicles a month and our quality control is first class. I do agree that there was an initial problem with the vehicle when it was first sold. We have an outside repair shop that we sometimes use for off brand vehicles and we are a Subaru retailer. The problem was repaired in accordance to New York States Lemon Law. Now more than 2 years have passed since the purchase and the extended warranty coverage [redacted] purchased with his financing has expired. Any and all future repairs will be of his own expense.
