According to Carfax information, this vehicle passed NY State Safety and Emissions Inspection,
in both - with a previous owner; and in 2013,
when the vehicle was sold by Koerner FordA year,
and approxmiles after the vehicle was last seen by Koerner Ford, the vehicle failed Emissions
inspectionEither NY State changed something in the inspection protocol, or something has been changed in the vehicle - both situations are beyond Koerner Ford's control or responsibilitySincerely,

There appears to be several concerns expressed in Mr*** complaintFirst, customers schedule appointments both to wait with their vehicles and they schedule them so they can utilize our shuttle service to and from home or work - we do everything possible to make every service visit as
convenient as possible
We addressed Mr*** concern, a "Check Engine" light and a rough running condition
The vehicle was diagnosed and after owner authorization - it was repairedThree days after the repairs were completed, an unrelated issue occurred when a transmission line brokeTransmissions function using fluid pressure, when a line breaks, fluid is pushed out under pressure, so the quote of the tech at *** *** would be accurate to describe the
conditionI contacted *** *** and was advised by them that they had to make a modified repair to the broken line due to the extent of corrosion under the truckIf our tech had seen a broken transmission line, it would have immediately been brought to our service advisor's attention and then to our customer's attentionWhen components on the underside of a vehicle are heavily corroded, there is no way to forecast when one of those components is going to fail
According to *- they repaired the vehicle on July 21stWith that information, I
would have to believe Mr*** son started his trip to his Florida duty station on the morning of the 22ndIf the vehicle experienced an engine issue on the 24th, after driving some miles in two days, when the *** *** *nvoice states the vehicle was run low on oil - how is that the responsibility of Koerner Ford? Who performed the last oil service on the vehicle, did it have a history of using excessive amounts of oil, and who is the CAS that
bought the vehicle in Florida - was it intentionally misdiagnosed at Lathem Automotive?
Mr *** brought his vehicle to Koerner Ford,
requested diagnosis and repair of a driveability concern - that was doneTo try and make Koerner Ford responsible for issues in areas of the vehicle that we were not involved in, is simply not justified
Sincerely,
