Kolani Contractors

August 15 2017 I went into Kolani in Oakville to look for a 48? double sink bathroom vanity. Kolani did not have what I was looking for which I knew wasn't a typical size. *** (the Sales rep) said they could build a custom vanity. He asked me style, number of sinks, handles, and style of countertop.
I told him my faucets will be coming out of the wall so there will be no need to drill holes in the countertop for mounting faucets. I paid him $2231.00 as deposit, with a balance of $1554.50 upon completion. 3-5 week delivery. End of week 5 I was told the vanity was in. *** told me it was in earlier but the first vanity only had 1 sink, he returned that vanity. A second vanity was delivered, this vanity had 2 sinks but the countertop had holes for mounting faucets. Again he returned it. The 3rd Vanity arrived I paid the remaining balance. Took the vanity home, removed it from the box. The back of the vanity to the back of the sink was to wide, my faucets would barely drain into the sink.
*** then said to me, 'you shouldn't of purchased the faucets, you should of told us the dimensions of the faucets?
It wouldn't mater what faucet I had purchased 95% of them would of been too short. *** is the professional, that's why I went to Kolani. It's not up to the consumer to know all the correct information required to build a vanity. It is up to Kolani to ask the proper questions to the consumer.
That's why they're the professionals!
Kolani then tells me to take measurements of the exact size of countertop I wanted. I should of said no, had Kolani come out a take a template of what I needed. I took the measurements off the existing countertop they provided to make it as easy as possible for them. I even sent Kolani the model number of the sinks they provided for me less then a month ago.
*** informs me to remake the vanity their cost on the countertop is $900, he wants me to pay half of that money, due on pickup. I finally reluctantly agree.
