Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Dear Sir or Ma'am,
I have received notification the payoff was sent to my bank and the payoff has been posted to my accountHowever, as of July 8, 2016, I have yet to receive the payment check for the balance for the vehicleWhile I agree the dealership has thanked me for my patience and informed me that "a check will be coming", I have yet to receive said payment
Keep in mind, the vehicle was sold to the dealership on June 1, and it is July 8, as of this writing
I had no choice but to make a payment on the vehicle on June 26th, that I sold to dealership on June 1, 2016; a vehicle I am not in my possession!
I am patiently waiting for a check from Kona Auto Sales but am told they must wait for the title before issuing my balance check.
This doesn't make sense as my bank can provide information on the title and Kona Auto Sales can issue me a check immediately However, they are "waiting for the title"
Sincerely,

11/24/14To whom it may concern,This letter is in response to [redacted]’s complaint on his Nissan Frontier and the repairs that he is claiming did not correct his complaint. According to my service advisor [redacted], his initial concern was check engine light and...

engine noise. He was advised to have his engine replaced but opted to have the timing chain replaced instead. At this moment, he has already filed with First Hawaiian Bank on the charges that he is trying to get reversed on his credit card for the amounts of $800.00 RO#[redacted] (A check for $1410.44 has already cleared) and $591.75 RO #[redacted]. I am waiting for FHB’s decision on the charges before I formulate a response and solution for his complaint.Thank you,[redacted]GM Kona Auto center

**Problem: This is a follow-up on a previous Revdex.com complaint #[redacted] After filing the original complaint, I received a telephone call from the dealership general manager, Mr. Jorge M[redacted]. I was informed the dealership should not have purchased the vehicle...

from me but that was not my fault. I was assured the vehicle would be paid off as soon as possible and a check would be forwarded to me for the balance by overnight express. It is June 28th, 2016 and as of this writing, the vehicle has NOT been paid off and I have yet to receive a check for the pay off balance. I have called the dealership and the general manager and the sales manager are "unavailable". Should it be necessary for me to contact an attorney on this matter, the dealership will likely be ordered by the Court to pay attorney expenses I incurred in resolving this matter. [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Mr. [redacted] response is not accurate.
I took our truck in on Sept. 5 with the engine light on and it running rough. At that time I ask if they could fix it, They ([redacted]) said they would look into it. I got a call later that day and was told I needed a "fuel sending unit" and that it would be approximately $600.00. Agreed ,thinking that would resolve the problem.
My wife picked up the truck (it's her vehicle) and paid them $591.75.   She told me later that it did not sound any different ,but the light was off.
Well about 40 days later the engine light comes back on and I call to make an appointment and the soonest they could take me was the 23rd of Oct.   When I checked in They ([redacted]) asked what the problem was and I told him the same thing before,  running rough and the engine light was on.  He made a comment on that I should have brought it in sooner, And I told him it was just in here last month! And I thought they fixed it then.  [redacted] then looked up the invoice for the Sept visit and told me that the work they did had nothing to do with the engine performance!! I said  "No, they replaced a fuel sending unit!"He then told me that the "fuel sending unit controls the fuel gauge and apparently that wasn't working!!
The fuel gauge was never "NOT" working  and why would I pay for something I didn't need! I thought they were fixing the car!
Well [redacted] said they would look into it! Later that day receive a phone call from [redacted] and he said I needed a new timing chain ( about $1600)and it could get worse once they opened up the truck's engine. I told him my displeasure of the situation , but he said they would work with me.
One week later, I picked up the truck Friday afternoon and [redacted] told me that they gave me 25% Off and that I could pay the cashier the balance of $2210.44!  After I paid the cashier ($1410.44 in check & $800. credit card)
I went back to the service desk and expressed my dissatisfaction with the Cost and the first Sept. visit. [redacted] insured me they did everything possible, but the engine will still making noise , but the engine light WILL NOT COME ON.
At that time he HIGHLY recommended I trade in my truck!
I'm thinking I just gave these clowns $2800.00 to tell me to trade in my truck!
As I left the auto center to pick up my children at the pool (not 5 miles down the road) The truck was making more noise than it ever did, I even got funny looks at stoplight from the car next to me!
Then as I pulled into the pool …the engine light comes on!
I called [redacted] the next day (Sat.)  and he said he would get right back to me. However he never did! He had [redacted] call me and offer me $2000 in trade credit!  I told him I would get back to them.
I was so shocked that they had the  audacity to make such an  offer!  That is when I contacted the Revdex.com.  (by [redacted] offering me $2000 credit , is telling me that they are admitting fault)
They never advised me to to replace engine and I chose timing chain!  False statement.
I dropped off the truck Nov. 18 and at that time They asked me if I wanted to purchase/replace the engine! And I told them to do what I paid them for or give me a refund.  Wife pick up truck Nov 21 (no charge)  engine light is off, however truck still makes some noise.      I was over charged $591.75  the first visit and  at least  $800.00 the second visit.
Sincerely,[redacted]
