Recently the property next door to us was purchased for VRBO. The rental management has been poor at unit maintenance unless multiple complaints. However, response to noisy renters is shameful. Since rentals are from 3 days to a week, the nuisance is ignored or defended until it changes hands. Though most renters have been friendly and respectful, some are not. We were directed to not contact the owners so it is doubtful they are aware of any issues. We are in the process of working with our community management company to enforce the CC&Rs and Bi-laws that apply to the renters and owners alike.
Our hope is that when the owners begin to receive violations and fines they will become more involved in their property and it’s care. We are full time owners as it is our home so we are very concerned with its safety and comfort. The management company claims to have 13 similar rentals in the area so it would be expected that they could relocate problem renters rather than evict and/or return deposit in order to keep piece and quiet for home owners.
