In a result of the covid-19 , my salon has been closed for the past 2 month. Which was an unexpected disaster for the world but as a business owner I have completed the disaster forum alone with The SBA grant application. In addition I notified the owner on the steps I have completed and also made him aware of the waiting process. Now as I was told by the SBA that they are still processing everything which takes 21 days or more . The owner is now threatening eviction.
Emily, In response to the complaint, there are many errors and misstatements. The reason her electric malfunctions is that she overloads the circuits and trips the breakers. We recently rewired the fuse box on her floor and her electric should be operable. We don`t know for sure because she changed her locks months ago and despite repeated requests, has not provided a key as per requirements of her Lease so we cannot access her suite when she is not there. When she says her ceiling fell in, she means several ceiling tiles got wet when a pipe leaked in the floor above her and some tiles fell . Our guys came in, wet-vaccumed, and cleaned up the affected area. She also had minor damage to a piece of equipment.
Even though she is responsible for insuring her own equipment as per terms of her Lease, our guys came in and repaired it. She never thanked them . There are many other items I can address, but in the interest of brevity, I`ll conclude by noting that we have tried to work with her on the rent issues (as detailed in her attached texts) but her response for months has been that she is waiting for gov`t check (which may or may not be forthcoming). So she paid one month`s rent recently which was applied to March, but she still owes April, May, and June (and soon July). I am willing to settle the issue without filing an eviction if she would pay for one month and move prior to end of June or agree to the payment plan that I detailed in the texts. Best, AK
Revdex.com spoke with consumer on 6-11-2020 and she clarified that she is seeking the agreement on provided text messages to be upheld, no eviction filed and to be let out of the lease before August. She plans to only make one more payment of July rent. She made a previous payment on June 1st based on agreement provided in text messages.
***Jun 10, 2020, 3:04 PM (22 hours ago)to me, ***1) The Electric has been malfunction since October 2019. 2) One of my suits is still without electricity. 3) The Management company for the building , there is always Friction and a dispute with the management company whenever there is priority things need to be done. I always have to contact the owner to get my problem fixed.4) The cleaning and up keep of the building before and after the covid-19 needs alot of attention, I have customers complain all the time.5) The ceiling from the shared hallway into my suite are old and decaying. 6) The ceiling falling in and flooding half of my salon, the owner tried to make it my problem when in reality its was management company fault, they where the ones to do the plumbing. I also have included my conversation via text with the landlord.
