Koons Collision Repair Center Reviews (2)

Review: On October 07, 2013, I dropped my car for repairing in Koons Collision Repair Center. At that time, there was a parking permit, as a part of the car, hanging on the back up mirror. When Koons Collision Repair Center returned the car to me on October 11, 2013, the parking permit was missing. I’ve communicated to Koons Collision Repair Center on October 11, 2013, October 14, 2013 and October 15, 2013. During the communications, I’ve informed them the replacement of my parking permit is $100.00 and asked them to find it in their place and remediation actions or paying for the replacement. They could not find it and reject to further negotiation. Their estimator claimed that they do not have responsibility for any valuable, even the engine in my car. He said “But your engine is still there”. I stopped our conversation at that point and decided to find 3rd party for further communication with Koons Collision Repair Center.Desired Settlement: Pay $100.00 for my parking permit replacement.

Review: I wanted to reach out to you to ask for some support or what to do after a bad storm in my area that came through my area in June of 2013 that resulted in top of a tree fell on my vehicle and damaged it but only the hood and bug reflector where I live as the property manager does not take care of the grounds that good.I have [redacted] as insurance carrier and I took my car to one of their body repair shop, Koons Collision Repair Center of [redacted], VA. They tore the entire front part of my car apart just to fix the hood on it.When they put my car back to together, they had broken a lot of parts off and just put them back hanging as I can hear them just flapping in the wind and getting caught in the tires as I drove away. They told me at first that there nothing they can do about it or it was like that and I told them this work is not expectable. Then I heard the front bumper rattling, loose as I was driving and it sound like my car was falling about. I was able to touch and move the bumper around, that how loose it was as that was not put back properly either.I kept bringing my vehicle back the Koons about seven times - they could not get it right and then told me that there was nothing that they can do about it. The last time, they just walked away from me, left me just talking to myself and that when I put in a complaint against Koons Collision Repair Center and [redacted] but did not get a response as of yet from Koons and they guarantee their work but would not fix their mistakes. My main complaint was they put on a generic hood that did not fit my vehicle nor was it put on straight in which allowed water when it rain to sink underneath the hood because one day after getting my vehicle back, I got in it, backed up and heard water making a splashing sound so I opened the hood and it was water laying on the engine and on the sides under the hood. They argue me down that there was nothing wrong with the hood. I have had my vehicle for over five years and I know that it was not right. They even put on the wrong bug reflector to replace the damage one and force it to fit allowing my hood to close correctly (completely) leaving the hood wide open and the hood was bending by them forcing the hood down to close. So they had to order the correct one from Honda so that it fit correctly like it should instead of putting the man made hood on my vehicle that was cut wrong. I had to take money out of my pocket to buy the reflector but got reimbursed.[redacted] respond to my complaint and re-assigned my claim to a [redacted] but we having playing phone tags and I was the last person to leave several messages for him to call and its been about a month now. **. [redacted] did refer me to another body shop, [redacted] body shop because he dont want me to go back to Koons and [redacted] did the best they could especially putting the molding back on my wheel fender since Koons left them hanging as they broke all the snaps off the molding back correctly as they had to order some parts and I could not understand why they took them off in the first place because it did not have anything to do with the hood, they were not damage at all. [redacted] also found that when they painted the hood to match the rest of the vehicle, they got it all over my front window as I try to clean the window with the washer one day and I heard this scratching sound so [redacted] was nice enough to take sand paper and wipe it to get it all off they left the paint on the window. The latest is when I went to go to get in my car to go somewhere and my windows in the front and back was all mist up or foggy as if it rain inside my car so I checked in the vehicle to see if I left a window open because it rain the night before. None were left open so I checked around my windshield in the front and it was all lose including the molding that held it in or to seal it in. Then I checked under the hood and noticed that some of the parts under the hood was missing - like some snaps to hold it in place.I want my vehicle back they way they found it. Hondas are put together tight and firm and now it seems like it going to fall apart as I am driving. It never rattled before and I am so upset and disappointed that Koons did a terrible job and cant get anyone to assist me. My seal around the front window is loose and there are some parts still missing and never had a leak before nor have I ever seen my window fog up like that before after it rains. Even when that storm came through here in June, my window did not fog up. I have about 9 -10 photos to include you but I dont know how I can get them to you. Maybe send you a few at a time.Desired Settlement: I would like my vehicle to be put back the way it should be.
