Hired them to replace my gutters. They damaged my roof during the process so now I have a leak in my bathroom. They claim they did not replace my gutters just made me pay for them, so they do not have to repair the damage they did.

Last year we hired K to install new gutters. They subcontracted to another company who did a terrible job. Any time we complained, we were told by K to talk to the third party. Recently, we developed a bad leak in our master bathroom. We had roofing estimates done, and they all said the leak in my bathroom was from flashing that was not put back on the house. We contacted K again to complain, they said we had to talk to that other company. My husband finally got someone at K who said they would put us on their schedule to put the flashing back up. That didn't happen, and now I have two buckets in my bathroom to catch water and my ceiling and walls are obviously damaged. When my husband called again, K said they won't fix anything. I've tried to call them and my husband has tried to call so we can at least get the subcontractor's information, but no one is taking or returning our calls.

This is the response I sent to the customer regarding his Google complaint on this same issue:
"I am sorry you guys have not been satisfied with our service. As our repair manager discussed with you, and you agreed, the issue that is leaking has nothing to do with the gutter work we performed. The leak is the result of poor flashing details at the roof-siding intersection. You even stated that another roofing contractor had made the same diagnosis. We were not contracted to do any roof repairs at all. We were prepared to submit a proposal for that work until Mr W called our office and yelled at our office manager including very inappropriate language. At that time we considered it best to no longer do business together. I will state again that we have performed all work we were contracted to do."
The gentleman is accusing us of doing work that has resulted in a leak in his ceiling. The flashing he agrees is causing the leak has nothing to do with the gutter work we performed. He refuses to accept this answer and has called our office using profanity toward our office manager and therefore we have stopped communicating with him.

When I spoke to the man on the phone a few things became very clear. He did not get the full story from his staff and what I was told on the phone is not what was put in their response. Maybe if he didn't cut me off and let me speak fully he would have. At the end all I kept saying was "okay" because that was all I could get out let alone be able to say more.

1. My husband sits in an open area office in front of several of his department's directors. There was no shouting or profanity in his calls when he contacted the company's office.

2. Our home insurance adjuster and a separate roofing contractor were the ones who showed us the flashing issue in relation to the gutter install. A piece of flashing was knocked off during the gutter install. At no point did I ever say they agreed with K, I said they told me it was caused by the gutter install.

3. We paid K for the gutter repair and a door installation. They did the door installation (fantastic work, no complaints there) but hired a third party to do the gutters. We've had problems from the very beginning with the gutters. So far we were able to get the problems resolved up until now.

4. The K person who came to our house was shown our specific issue and he told my husband he would "put us on the schedule" At no point did he give this long winded story I was told on the phone that he said it wasn't the gutter install.

5. I am disturbed that the person I talked to on the phone said he would not give me the name and contact number of the party who installed the gutters because he was afraid we would "berate" them as well. This means two things: 1. He has the power to cut me off from my paid for transferable warranty. 2. If he could speak for that company, he had the power/influence to have helped us from the very beginning and this whole debacle could have been avoided.

As far as I'm concerned, I consider this issue closed. Every time we called that office we were told no one would fix the issue and that has come to be very true.
