Highly unprofessional place of businessWent to get an alignment and axle change on a small sedan..it ended up taking days total ( I was initially told 1-days)RidiculousOnly went here because it was the closest and backed by my insuranceI had to pay out of pocket for a rental car, and was initially told it would take 1-daysI called on the 2nd and they had not even started to fix my car...and could not even give me an estimate write up date...sketchyI ended up having to treat them like a child and call them every day to make sure they were clear on what to do and what their status wasI was constantly placed on hold for minutes at a time (annoying because I work a full time office job)They stated they were initially unclear as to what I needed done, and what insurance said, but if that was the case they should have straightened that out on their own time, not while I have to work and pay for a rental car myself for extra days. They were not done days later, causing me to rent the car for an extra daysOn the pick up day, *** was very rude, I , and other customers, could over hear her talking to my insurance wanting me to pay furtherKoontz already got $4,000+ for the axle and alignmentMy insurance said they charged $44/an hour for "labor" which then dawned on me as to why they took so many days to "fix" something my dealership could have done in half a dayAnd the nerve of them wanting to get me to pay an extra deductible (My insurance reps told me I was not responsible) while I already paid $for a rental, out of pocketAll in all, I just wanted to save someone else the time and headache from going hereSeriously go somewhere else, unless you have 2-weeks to waste waiting for "work" to be done at $44/an hourI am also going to ensure my insurance takes them off of their list so others won't have to experience the same crap

I have used this business twice for auto body repairs I am always amazed at the attention to detail that is put towards the repair work I am also extremely impressed with the personable approach this business takes with me I am impressed with their professionalism I learned of this business from a neighbor who has high standards in all things automotive I too have passed along this recommendation many times

Terrible service and attention to detail

Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted]-Koontz Paint and Bodyworks Inc.This complaint does not address quality of work that was actually done. Rather mentions an additional "estimate" for work that was never done and the customer was never charged. Customer brought his [redacted] to Koontz Paint and Bodyworks on...

January 13 th for a repair estimate on repainting the roof. A repair "estimate" was provided to him for $598 for an estimate for these repairs. (See Attachment A) At the same time that the roof estimate was completes customer requested a second and separate "estimate" for; door lock cylinder gaskets, rear wiper and an interior door handle. This "estimate" was also provided to the customer. (See Attachment B).Customer asked if we could attempt to locate parts for him. At no cost to the customer, the shop located these parts online and provided them in the estimate provided. (See Attachment B). Customer was advised that since the vendors were not our usual and customary vendors, he could purchase these parts and we would gladly install them for him. Customer came into the office on February 8 th and demanded that we order these parts. Customer was rude with our staff and used profanity with an office full of customers. (This was captured on security video camera). Customer left the office and advised for us to only complete the repairs on the roof, which we did. During the time car was getting repaired customer called into the office numerous times and sent several lengthy emails expressing his concerns. (See Attachment C) Customer also and hung up on office staff on two occasions (February 8th). Customer picked his vehicle up from the shop on February 10th and paid only for the roof repairs. (See Attachment D). He indicated that he was happy with the roof repairs that were done. He did not pay for any parts or repairs concerning the additional repair estimate that we quoted him.We are certainly sorry that the customer did not get additional the repairs that he apparently wanted to have done. Given his interaction with our staff, both in person and on the phone, we are not interested in completing any additional or future repairs. Based on his interaction with our staff, we assume that he does not wish for us to do any additional work for him.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Respectfully,Koontz Paint and Bodyworks Inc.

Worse. Experience. Ever. All the reviews you see about them delaying and delaying and DELAYING are absolutely true. When I got the estimate, I was happy with how quick and helpful the customer service was. They told me it would take 3 days to do the job. I dropped off my car on Monday and was told it would be ready by end of day Wednesday. False. I called Wednesday and they told me it wasn't ready, soonest would be Friday but more than likely the following Monday. After expressing my frustration with their lack of communication, they told me to call back Thursday morning for a status update. I had to call them... Not the other way around. I called Thursday, same satus, so I asked to talk to a manager. I spoke to Keith who told me he would personally call me at the end of the day to give me an update. That did not happen. They finally called me on Friday, at a number I didn't prefer, and left me a voicemail saying Monday. They didn't call me on Monday, I had to call them again and now it's been pushed another day. Almost a full week late and still no car! Woohoo. It's not the delay that bothers me, it's the lack of communication. Get it together folks! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!

I have used this business twice for auto body repairs. I am always amazed at the attention to detail that is put towards the repair work. I am also extremely impressed with the personable approach this business takes with me. I am impressed with their professionalism. Highly unprofessional place of business. Went to get an alignment and axle change on a small sedan..it ended up taking 7 days total ( I was initially told 1-2 days). Ridiculous. Only went here because it was the closest and backed by my insurance. I had to pay out of pocket for a rental car, and was initially told it would take 1-2 days. I called on the 2nd and they had not even started to fix my car...and could not even give me an estimate write up date...sketchy. I ended up having to treat them like a child and call them every day to make sure they were clear on what to do and what their status was. I was constantly placed on hold for 20 minutes at a time (annoying because I work a full time office job). They stated they were initially unclear as to what I needed done, and what insurance said, but if that was the case they should have straightened that out on their own time, not while I have to work and pay for a rental car myself for 5 extra days. They were not done 3 days later, causing me to rent the car for an extra 4 days. On the pick up day, [redacted] was very rude, I , and other customers, could over hear her talking to my insurance wanting me to pay further. Koontz already got $4,000+ for the axle and alignment. My insurance said they charged $44/an hour for "labor" which then dawned on me as to why they took so many days to "fix" something my dealership could have done in half a day. And the nerve of them wanting to get me to pay an extra deductible (My insurance reps told me I was not responsible) while I already paid $350 for a rental, out of pocket. All in all, I just wanted to save someone else the time and headache from going here. Seriously go somewhere else, unless you have 2-3 weeks to waste waiting for "work" to be done at $44/an hour. I am also going to ensure my insurance takes them off of their list so others won't have to experience the same crap.
