rendered to a Chevy Equinox that was towed to our establishment under the name of *** *** who claimed to be the ownerWe did not find out until weeks later that the actual owner identified herself and communicated with us*** *** instructed us not to talk to Mr*** about her car anymore and that SHE is the owner. The Chevy Equinox was towed to our establishment, not running and with a blown motorIt was requested that we replace the blown motor with one that the customer provided, which was located in the Equinox and was placed upside down in the backThe price given to remove the old motor and install the customer provided motor was $1,000.It was discovered during diagnostics that the torque converter had to be replaced upon removal of the bad motor which added a cost of $Upon installation of the torque converter, and subsequently, the new motor, it was determined that the customer had purchased a bad motor. The customer received her refund for her bad motor. The customer needed the engine she provided removed and a replacement engine purchased and installedWe offered the service with a motor that had a 36,mile and year warranty for 1,We waited three and one half weeks to get the OK from the customer to order the used motor.Upon installation of the new motor, and while Mr*** was here, we tested it and put it into gear, but it wouldn't drive and many lights were on, including the oil fight and a transmission code appeared on the sensor indicating that the pump was out on the transmissionSince we already had the car apart, we offered to replace the transmission for free after they located the part for $at Pull and Pay that they could retrieveHowever, they wanted our technicians to remove the part from Pull and Pay and our technicians are not expected, authorized, nor are they insured through Korte's to leave the premises during paid hours to remove used parts from other establishmentsAt one point, Mr*** stopped by with his daughter and said he was going to have his mother’s friend pull the transmission out that FridayCommunication, authorization, and verification at this point were proving to be very difficult, but we continued to try to provide service to their satisfaction and to the best of our ability. The day of the final altercation, a gentleman who claimed to be a certified mechanic and representative for *** *** and Ms***, showed up to check the Equinox and drain fluids and check parts. The owner of the vehicle was very upset that the car was not drivable, that we would not refund her money, and that we would not send our employees to another establishment for the transmission partShe and *** *** appeared with a group of people to our establishment demanding service, compensation, or reparations for her EquinoxI was threatened by *** *** and told I was “going to be punched in the face.” At that point, the free installation offer, after they purchased the transmission, was retracted and they called the Cincinnati Police to the sceneThe police instructed Mr*** to leave the premises immediately and not return, and that it was a civil manner.I understand the frustration Ms*** must be feeling being without her personal transportation, but I do feel that we delivered excellent customer service under very difficult circumstancesWe were presented with defective parts via the customer and maintained communication throughout the lengthy labor intensive process, and also offered free labor when additional parts were required, and provided a free tow to a shop when we were told the internal pump was bad, as we statedThe internal pump went bad due to a clogged torque converter on the factory motor which we had to replaceThere was no way to know if the transmission was good or bad until the car was runningWe were willing to work with them in any way that we could until the threats and large group/mob ensued, making many of our employees feel unsafe in their work environmentWe provided more than the service that was quoted and paid forI feel badly that Ms*** was originally sold a bad motor from an outside source, but Korte's did our very best to rectify her situation with her Equinox that needed a litany of service and partsWe did more than what was required for the service for which we were compensated. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.Tony W*** C ###-###-#### F

dissatisfaction with the timeliness of the repair to her Chevrolet Tracker. We did indeed service her car in April, and we allowed her to store it here for an extended period of time without the normal $20 per day storage fee, until she could pay for the repairs. It was a congenial courtesy extended because she made arrangements ahead of time and we had a mutually respectful conversation regarding the service contract. [redacted] was satisfied when she picked up her car. I understand [redacted]' frustration regarding the wait for the part that needed to be ordered for her A/C when she returned in August. In addition to that part that was ordered, an unexpected repair was necessary because another party recently worked on her car and overflowed the motor with 11 Oz of Freon. Regardless, we did replace and repair the necessary parts for her on September 2. Due to the extenuating circumstances of this situation, the $320 repair/replace was done free of charge. We certainly apologize for any inconvenience this situation caused [redacted], and I believe we did our best to rectify the situation with the repair on September 2, 2015_ Please contact me for any additional information regarding this claim. Revdex.com had communication with the consumer, "The car was repaired; this was resolved."

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. He stated that someone else worked on my car, that was not true. A 6.4oz can of freon was added to the air conditioning unit. Because it was not cooling.
Regards,
