Review: Problem is with a Jenn Aire Microwave. Model [redacted] that was purchased in 9/13/2007. Microwave mysteriously by itself at anytime without human intervention! Product was worked on the 1st time at residence while in warranty in spring of 2008 - no fix. That fall, it was taken into repair shop while still under warranty for same problem and Kossel's had it for 3 weeks - returned - no fix. Same problem and Kossels promised they were trying to solve problem with Jenn Aire. Kossel's sent out new door latches and microswitch thinking it was within my talents to replace them and which I did for them - no fix. In 2012, microwave was picked up in July, they had it for 5 1/2 months, loaned us a 21" countertop in lieu of our 30" built in. When returned, they thought they had actuallky fixed it this time - no fix. June 21, 2013, the unit set off the fire fire alarm in our house and quit working entirely. Kossel's refuses to go any furtherDesired Settlement: Live up to all the promises we have put up with over the years. All it has been is a bunch of lies and that is being polite. Replace the unit with the new Jenn Aire you promised us on June 23, 2013.
Business states that this is a warranty issue through Jenn Aire. As the
appliance had allegedly started a fire in consumer's house, they needed to
follow up through their insurance and Jenn Aire. They cannot speak
further in regards to the issue.
It has taken Kossel's this long to reply!!!! Jenn Aire has already and expediently replaced the unit to avoid a lawsuit! Yes Kossel's, the same exact matching unit. The fire damage was repaired and an ensuing lawsuit was not worth MY time! Kossel's is a pitiful scourge of the business society today and has no ethics of standing behind their product. Their service department couldn't fix a broken wire and I still have their misplaced nut driver that was left inside the microwave that started the fire!!
Review: In October 2013, my husband([redacted]) & I purchased a GE front load dryer from Kossel's. We charged it to our credit card(Masters Card) in the amount of $800 or estimated. The new dryer was delivered to our house with in 5 days. Our credit card was charged and the appliance store received their money. We noticed that the new dryer was not drying our clothing so we called Kossel's and they sent a repair man over to our house and found out that the dryer has a broken gas valve and it could not be repaired. We asked for Kossel's to take our new dryer back and order us a new one. In the meantime, they "loaned" us a dryer of which is cheaper and not new but we have been using it. In November we received a phone call from Kossel's indicating that they "fixed" our new dryer and could they deliver it. My husband was furious and informed them "no" and that they promised us a brand new dryer, new model. They then indicated to us that they would order a brand new dryer and that it would be delivered no later than December 6, 2013. We informed them that if they did not deliver a brand new dryer by that date we would look at another store to buy from and file a complaint. On December 9, 2013 my husband placed another call to Kossel's requesting to speak with somone and no one returned his call!! To date, we have NOT received our product and Kossel's got paid!!!! We want guidance on how to either get our money back or resolve this issue. Very poor customer service. We will NEVER purchase another appliance from this store.Desired Settlement: Either get us our appliance or refund our Masters Card and we will purchase a dryer from another appliance store! And if the appliance is delivered to our house, I wrote down the last serial and model number, It better not be the same model just fixed!
I contacted Mr. [redacted] last week when their dryer finally came in. It has been delivered and installed at their home. I truly wished this matter hadn't taken this long to resolve or that the customer felt like we had lack of communication. I could understand their frustration as the dryer was on back order, that's why we loaned them a brand new dryer to use during this inconvenience. I appreciate their business and I apologize for the wait.
