The desired amount is fine as a settlement but [redacted] needs to mind her own business and not that of others. As if this date she has not tried to deposit the check into any business account to be honored by my bank. The check wrote to her as a cosigner with our business was written to her "business"...
and again has not been presented to our bank as a deposit. If she would like to have cash for this it will need to go thru you if not I will not see her. Thanks Mike
I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I went to the bank to try and cash the check. I did not deposit the check because the bank said there were no monies in the account and the check would bounce. I did not want to be charged for a bounced check. I called the bank 2X and they said the same thing. The bank told me there was no money in the account and they could not cash the check because it was restricted to credits only.. I will accept a money order or cash. I noted on my contract that if paid by check it would be in the name of me and not the business, which did not happen. The owner said they would send out a new check on priority mail, which never happened. The owners have been dishonest several times through e-mails stating checks would be forthcoming in a day or so, and nothing has happened. So, when can I expect the cash of $37.50 or a money order in my name and NOT the business name in the amount of $37.50. Once I receive the money order or money, I will return the check.
