To whom it may concern: the fact of the matter is if there was a broken tile which touched the floor, I cant say exactly how the tile broke as I was not there when it happenedthe fact is the tile broke months after the job was completethis does not just happenas far as the plumbing venting goes, I have pictures of it when I removed the old tub/shower it was running on the floor between the plywood and the bottom of the fiberglass shower unitthis had to be cut out and ran under the flooring, I even showed [redacted] this and her exact words were that's not right even I know that's not supposed to be like thatand as far as [redacted] asking for 20,I have to find the humor in this as the entire job was done for 16,also they have not sent any certified mail to me what so everalso after reviewing the contract, I'm not understanding how I went over the deadline when there was never any deadline writtenthere will be no settlement on this case

This is not accurate whatsoever. Plumbing venting did not have to be moved. The electrical work which was completed was timely and did not impact from moving forward. The only delay was the kitchen floor which was completed in one day as we went out that night and purchased flooring to keep the project moving. There was no chip in the bathroom tile. The crack in tiles were on the lower wall, therefore nothing could have been dropped on the tile. *** did try to replace those tiles but with each tile removed he continued to chip the tiles above which then needed to be replaced. At one point, he used q tips between the tiles for spacers rather than proper spacers. *** told us that the bottom tiles sometimes crack. However, that is not what caused the leak. It was a faulty shower floor. *** was supposed to "pull up" the shower floor membrane which was not installed properly. He actually did not do this. *** placed silicone around the edges of the shower floor instead. And the leak was not a drip. The water was flowing out of the upper cupboard and down the interior walls , as well as exterior walls of the cupboard. This impacted the integrity of the upper cupboard below the shower as well as the cupboard next to it that was wet and swollen from the moisture. He came by and told us he would fix the water damage on the ceiling. This obviously never happened. *** stated that he would replace the upper cupboard. He received a quote from the kitchen designer, which we contacted. However, he did not order the cabinet. While we initially thought there was mold on the wall, which he did address as dust, we found after working with another contractor that the back wall behind the cupboard was in fact damaged by the water leak. The kitchen designer also noted that there were numerous other issues with his installation including but not limited to the custom built bathroom vanity. He improperly cut the extended stiles which was needed to allow the draws to open without contact with the door molding. Now the draws do not open correctly. We have also sent certified mail to his house which he appears to be refusing. .]

To whom it may concern, yes the job went over deadline by weeks, but there were issues at hand that caused this that are not listed above and were not in the quote for the jobplumbing vent lines which were run under the old shower that had to be rerun, wires running under the old shower that
also had to be moved. The kitchen floor was originally oak flooring which was supposed to remain the same as isBut as the oak flooring ran under the old cabinets and stopped a cpl inches short underneath the cabinets in which there was no possible way to tell this before removing the old cabinets we had to put in a new floor, in which I did free of chargeThis includes ripping out the old oak flooring, laying down new tile backer board, tiling and grouting the kitchen floorand yes they did contact me months ago and told me a tile had cracked on the shower wall, I told them I would call to schedule a time to come over and check out the issue which the customer wanted fixed, which may have not even been pertaining to the job that was done by me. This "crack" in the title that they are talking about which happened months after the job was completed could have been caused by them dropping an object onto the tile. roughly weeks had passed by the time I got thereat this time they had a small leak which dripped on to one cabinet, there was no damage to any walls what so everthey thought there was mold on the wall and it was just dust and this I showed them when I was therewhen they originally called me if they would have told me the cracked tile was one that met the floor where water sits, I would have responded immediately, all they had said was there was a cracked tile on the shower wallthe tile had a chip where it was cracked so something obviously hit the tile causing the tile to crackI have been doing this type of work for years and tile in a wall doesn't just break on its ownI have pictures of the extra work that was done regarding the extra time the job took, also I have pictures of when I went to repair the tile that the only spot water had went was on one cabinet the one above the refrigerator, the wall had no water damage what so ever I even took pictures of the wallthe spot on the wall was old dust and dirt that was left behind from the old microwave which wiped right offI even wiped this dirt off in front of *** and showed her.Thank you, ***

To whom it may concern:  the fact of the matter is if there was a broken tile which touched the floor, I cant say exactly how the tile broke as I was not there when it happened. the fact is the tile broke 6 months after the job was complete. this does not just happen. as far as the plumbing venting goes, I have pictures of it when I removed the old tub/shower it was running on the floor between the plywood and the bottom of the fiberglass shower unit. this had to be cut out and ran under the flooring, I even showed [redacted] this and her exact words were that's not right even I know that's not supposed to be like that. and as far as [redacted] asking for 20,000 I have to find the humor in this as the entire job was done for 16,000. also they have not sent any certified mail to me what so ever. also after reviewing the contract, I'm not understanding how I went over the deadline when there was never any deadline written. there will be no settlement on this case.
