We,re sorry Mrs [redacted] did not understand the process. The first thing is Brett did not talk to her on the on 2-1-18 nor 2-2-18, she talked to me( Roger )  I talked to [redacted] on the phone both days. I explained to her that an estimate to rebuild would be $3000-3500 for the transmission alone. I...

also checked our suppliers for re-manufactured transmissions and none were or are available. she advised me that was more than she wanted to spend/invest in that old of car. I also let [redacted] know that I could get a used one with approximately  half the mileage of what her car currently has. it should be noted that on the 1st that Mike our service manager was setting beside me at his desk and states that he heard our conversation about this car and that I  told her it had approximately half the mileage that her car had on it,and those were the words that I used. The reason everybody here remembers this car is because it is an odd car. the vehicle in question is a 2002 Suzuki XL-7 with 171965 thousand miles on it and multiple issues with it as far as repairs being needed. The original estimate for the repairs was $2359.15 which she authorized on 2-2-18 with me ( Roger ) over the phone. please note the transmission was ordered on 2-2-18 @ 11:43 and delivered on the 7th. we can not control shipping times. it was ordered on same day she authorized repair. We contacted her on  the 8th and advised her the rear seal on her engine should be replaced and the front were completely worn out and should be replaced,in which she authorized the repairs which brought her new total to $2668.22 .This vehicle had front cv axles ,front brakes, rear main crank shaft seal replaced. The transmission alone would have been approximately $1700-$1800 without any other repairs or parts. The transmission could not have been replaced without new axles because of them being worn out.   There was nothing misleading in the way this was handled. Please see attachments on vehicle. We are a AAA affiliate and a NAPA AUTO CARE facility in which we have to meet all  their criteria , we've been in business over 50 years and do not have a reputation for this kind of business. We would have a signed copy ,but she took it when she left. If there is a problem with the transmission in question,it does have a nation wide warranty on it so another repair facility can address her concerns if needed ,if she doesn't trust us.
