We recently purchased an auto expressions car air freshener. We trusted that this was a reliable product and would just be a good car air scent. Well, it leaked out on a cool day, all over the dash of our car. Anything it touched got melted, discolored, and ruined. From the face of the radio, the buttons, the shifter, and the vents. We are very upset about this as it is not our fault, and we did not use it incorrectly at all. I have sent two messages to the company with no response. I want them to fully reimburse us. Hopefully, I will not have to contact the BBB or others. This is just a bad situation seeing how many others have had this happen as well. PLEASE GET BACK TO ME ON THIS. Thank you!

I just recently had the same thing happened in my vehicle… I will never buy this product again… My dash is all bubbled up and that cheap air freshener cost me way more than it should have… horrible product.

Recently purchased the Auto Expression clip on air freshener. It leaked down the dash and destroyed it! Who is going to pay for this damage?! I will NEVER EVER buy your products again! I have photos of the damage. Someone needs to contact me ASAP about this issue. Did you make it with acid or something? I seen this has been an ongoing issues with others. Yet you people still keep making it and selling it? WTH?

I purchased and used one of your auto expressions air care products, needless to say it leaked all over my dash board surrounding my stereo and down to the carpet. It made a trail of damage as if it leaked acid. The paint on the panel bubbled up and needs replacing. The cost is over $500.00
I'm letting you know that this product is not good. I'm sure you have other complaints like mine regarding this product.

Review: I purchased a car air freshener (vent style) from my local auto parts store. The brand is Auto Expressions. I read the directions and warnings on the product. It warns against letting the product get on surfaces as it MAY cause damage, and to remove immediately if it does(which I did). It also says it is in a sealed container which would lead a person to believe it will not leak (I believe it even says it will not leak on the packaging). I put it in my car according to the instructions. It has never been tilted while in my car however it did leak and now as a result my trim around my stereo is ruined. If this product will damage plastic parts then it should say it will damage, as a consumer I would not have purchased this item knowing that, it also shouldn't say that it wont leak if it will, it's possible that it was due to high temperatures, however there is no warning of that on the packaging at all. There are several complaints on many websites regarding the damage that these products cause, yet they keep selling without a lot of warning.Desired Settlement: I feel that since this seems to be a known issue the company should fix the product so it doesn't cause damage, considering this is going to be inside a vehicle. I also feel that because they do not sufficiently warn you about the damage they should pay to have that piece of my car replaced. I have had this car for less than a month and I do not feel I should have to pay for this repair, their product is faulty, and has no business being in a vehicle.
