Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] ,In response, of why I do not agree with the resolution, is that while I did receive a partial Security Deposit refund (partial due to some small holes in the wall from hanging shelves, and a window blind that was broken when I moved in, but can't seem to find my copy of the move in papers to try to dispute.)I did not leave an incomplete addressIn fact I left it in writing before I moved out, and then when calling several times to find out when it would be mailed out, all I was told was they are excercising their right to hold onto it for daysA few days before the day mark, I called, and even verified the address we are atHe even repeated the address to me correctlyI had to call several times, and was told they would resend it, but he sent it again without correcting the address even though I had been calling and calling about itThen when I said I wanted to come by to pick it up, I was told at first no, that to continue to wait to see if it would show upThe only thing that was left off the address that he states he sent it too, was the lot numberIn which case it would of been delivered to the office, which was confirmed by both the office management and the post officeA week after he stated he mailed it, I asked for him to resend it, trying to believe he sent it but just lost in the mail, he said it would have to wait cause he was going out of town for the day. After waiting for over a week past the cut off time frame and from when he stated he sent it a second timeI firmly believe that he never really sent it in the first placeBut to send it to the wrong address a second time and not even registered considering the problemI looked up his office address, and then called him again to state that I wanted to come by, he said no, he had meetings for the next hour and a half, which would of at the time make him done between 11:AM and 12:00PMSo, I waited for the 12:time frame and just showed upMuch to his disapproval, of which when he walked in the first thing he said after I told him who I was, was I said not to come by and to callI told him I was out and about, and wanted the moneyHe questioned me like I had the gall to ask him to cancel a second check to write out a third one, I plainly said yes, it was either that or we went to court, of which he told me it was not necessary as he sent it twice alreadyI said either way, I wanted my check or I would go to courtHe told me to wait in the front office/reception areaI heard him tell someone (I assume over the phone, as there was no one in his office, to cancel the check that apparently it was never received again)Then he walked out, and put two small pieces of paper on the desk infront of me, and stated see I told you I did send themAll that was shown was a typed up check stub with numbers and dates on itBut when he finally did give me a check with the stub the stub on the check I had, did not quite look the same as what he put on the table.I did leave the office and went promptly to the bank the check was drawn on to cash it, as to not give him a chance to consider placing a stop payment on it out of spite.Yes, proper forwarding addresses are the responsibility of the tenant, but I gave it to him, both verbally over the phone multiple times and in writing, he chose not to send it properly as he stated two times, of which he was given the same proper address multiple times before the first one was sent, and before the second one was sent.Per his last statement, it is not great, all bills are paid, and the units are not quickly filled up, most of them are empty, and there is a ton of work to do, units are worn down, plumbing is out dated, leaking both inside and outMost of which is due to them not fixing properlyThey even shut the water off every Thursday stating for repairsThe unit below me was even complaining due to leaking waterWe had to ask multiple times to have our own shower fixed over the years we were there, due to it not shutting off, constantly dripping and causing mold/mildew to grow on walls and cracksOf which the maintenance man stated we might have to pay for the damages to the unit below due to leaksThere was along list of complaints of damaged items in the unit that were never fixedMostly plumbing, between toilets and tubsI was even told they would not fix the garbage disposal due to the fact that the plumbing was too old and couldn't support them anymoreThe water from the kitchen sink does not even come out clear. The laundry facilities on the grounds are horribleThey spend half their time backed up with sewer water, or not properly rinsing or drying clothes, and they are new. They even have agreements with local towing companies to come in at will to tow cars off, that the towing companies feel are not in agreementOf which happened to us less than a month after moving inOf which we took too court, won and were never re-imbursed forThere is no guest parkingYou have to ask for permission ahead of time to have company come over, so they can get all the details from the owner of the car to tell the towing company so its not towedI had a friend come over in the evening time on the weekend, when the office was closed, was there for less than thirty minutes, came out and car was goneCost her over two hundred dollars to get her car back.NO, THIS IS NOT A LOVELY PLACE TO LIVE!

Regards,

[redacted], we paid [redacted] his Sec Deposit.  In fact, we cut three different checks to to resolve the issue.  The issue was he left an incomplete forwarding address.  After two failed mail attempts, he finally came by the office to pick it up.  Proper forwarding addresses are...

the responsibility of the tenant, not the management.    Regardless, he is in possession of his sec deposit refund.  Btw, it’s a great, all bills paid community and we fill it as quickly as the units are available.   If you have any more questions about this issue or our community, please don’t hesitate to call me.  Thank you.
