About weeks into the class, she sent me an email complaining about wraps she bought from us and construction in the gymThe construction of the new office did not affect the class in any way and had nothing to do with herI don't know why she mentioned that? That was started long before the class startedShe was upset about finding cheaper wraps onlineWe charge $for the best quality and Mexican style [redacted] hand wrapsShe said she could get them cheaper online for $or so [redacted] makes different length wraps and the ones we sell are the longest availableIt could be she saw a shorter version on line? Ours are cmEven if she could find the longer ones for cheaper online, she would still have to pay shipping? And she would have to wait for the item to come inMeanwhile, she would have been training unsafely, as you can easily sprain your wrists while hitting the Giant Pole bags that we use if you don't have the proper wrapswas shocked that she was actually complaining about $Seemed a bit petty to me but to each is own? She also complained about the size of the classWe have a rule at our Studio that we have instructor on the floor per studentsWe have or instructors present for every class being heldClasses range from 10-participantsShe also posted negative comments and called me an ae on the [redacted] Page that her and another participant created for the ParticipantsI have requested from her and the other participant that this page be taken down immediatelyWe have our own [redacted] page and do not post derogatory comments on itShould it not be taken down, we will consult with our attorneyThis student took the course, then seemed to be suffering from something commonly called "Buyer's Remorse"?Thank you very much for bringing this matter to my attention,I appreciate it.Dedicated to my students' achievement,Joe D.-Program Director

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Mr. D[redacted] was not truthful in his response. 1. He states that all measurements were taken. Participants measured each other. Mr. D[redacted] instructed us to measure our chests by putting the measuring tape over our arms. I had to inform him that was not the correct way to measure chest.  Any documentation he has on our measurements are what we wrote down on the strips of paper he gave us. Body fat percentage and body mass index was not done. 2. States "we had to wrap the hands of the new partcipants" - This never happened. His assistant wrapped one woman's hands and we watched while we wrapped our own hands.3. "We requested that our participants send their before picture by email after receiving the Paleo Plan" - The only email I received from Mr. D[redacted] was the receipt for payment. I heard from the other women that the Paleo Plan was emailed. I asked Mr. D[redacted] for it and it was never sent so I asked a classmate to forward it to me. 4. "she sent me an email complaining about wraps" - The email was to express my disappointment in the class and that it was not as advertised.  I only mentioned the wraps because I stated that the challenge seemed like it was more about making money than the fitness journey. That is also the reason for mentioning construction.
I actually did find the exact same wraps. Same brand and same length and because I am a Amazon Prime member, I get 2 day free shipping. Mr. D[redacted] did not understand that I was showing his lack of truth before class even began. He was dishonest stating he had wraps for sale at $10 and then selling for $15 on the first day of class. He decided to focus on the cost of the wraps and completely missed my point.5. "We have a rule at our studio that we have 1 instructor on the floor per 15 students"- If this was the plan, then he should have shared this with the class. It was advertised differently and that is why I and most women signed up6. "she also posted negative comments and called me an ae on the [redacted] Page that her and another participant created for the participants.  I have requested from her and the other participant that this page be taken down immediately" - I did not start the [redacted] group. It was started by another woman in the class as a way to support and encourage each other. Mr. D[redacted] was not in this group.  It is sad that the only thing that bothered him was me calling him an ae. There were so many posts from women stating how deceived we felt and our disappointment in the class.  Mr. D[redacted] did ask the creator of the group to take it down.  I know this because she informed the group of it via [redacted]. Mr. D[redacted] never at any point contacted me about the [redacted] group. This is just another example of his dishonesty.I do not have buyers remorse, as Mr. D[redacted] stated.  I paid for a service that was not provided.  I am able to provide contacts of women who were equally disappointed in the 6 Week Challenge. I have also attached the email correspondence between myself and Joe D[redacted].  I have also attached several screenshots from the [redacted] group. I have blocked out portions because this information is public and I want to respect their privacy.  The email contains comments and forwards. I numbered the emails in the order in which they were written and received in the hope that it will make sense. I have also included postings from the [redacted] group. Are you available to review links on [redacted]? If so, the link is on one of the [redacted] posts. You wil see that the challenge says 15 women.Regards,

The construction of the new office did not affect the class in any way and had nothing to do with her. I don't know why she mentioned that? That was started long before the class started. Review: I signed a contract with this self-defense school that specified I had 3 days to cancel the contract. I did so within hours of signing it because I found there were over $500 of undisclosed, mandatory fees associated with taking classes at this facility. I call ed to cancel and the owner screamed at me to try to get my money back in court. I mailed him a formal letter to cancel and it arrived the next day and he still forwarded my information to his billing company and refuses to honor the terms of his own contract and refund my registration fee. I have forwarded the contract and proof of cancellation to the billing company, the Educational Fund, but they said they would continue to bill me until the merchant, Joe D[redacted], cancelled the charge.Desired Settlement: I would like them to stop billing me. Each month, I have to call my credit card company, file a complaint and fax the proof of cancellation, etc. I would like them to stop billing me each month.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because the membership was cancelled in May of 2014, when the contract was signed. Not in September. If I accept this request, I am worried this business will interpret this as grounds to collect on the fees between May and September, to which they have no right since the contract was cancelled in May.

Regards,

Business

Response:

10–29-14Dear [redacted],I assure you, [redacted], and [redacted] that this membership is cancelled as of it's inception and no further billing will take place going back to the beginning when [redacted] signed it May 2014. It was an error by my billing company. I caught it when I received your letter recently and I notified the billing company recently "again" to cancel this contract. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and I don't expect another mistake from my billing company. This matter should be closed.Thanks.Joe D
