 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: as **. [redacted] has said he had given me permission to make payments.yes we had frozen pipes which he did send his technician which I understand back then and probably currently the only technician he has. [redacted] even told us he was the only one and he don't see that changing anytime soon. I appreciated that he came down. before when we had issues they helped. [redacted] told me thru us speaking when I took my payment up in january that that's all they were having is frozen pipe calls. it hit me that he is telling me that's all they were having/doing but yet dave told me that they didn't have the equipment to handle this.in february when I took my next payment up he changed and told me that they had to decline these calls and tell people to call plumbers. we had a very expensive bill there. each time I went up I told [redacted] things just weren't right ,the furnace was constantly running to which he kept insisting we were having a harsh winter. so yes I had been letting him know well with in the 2.5 months. I still have the parts to prove. **. [redacted] even supplied a letter stating how faulty the furnace was. what am I supposed to pay 550 and then 2-3 months later turn around and do it over again.  also **. [redacted] brought up how they drilled a new well for us.I do not recall him being in on that deal. [redacted], the gentleman who owns this business was who I dealt with. Also **. [redacted] Kreiser sat in on that deal to help us. Mr. Kreiser was the one who recommended the well driller,[redacted] contacted him for us. This gentleman gave my husband, mother n I a price quote ,which we took out a loan from citifinancial to pay off. the well driller went further down then and into more expense then he quoted us.so yes we were making payment s until we got the rest of the money together and my husband wrote the check out to pay [redacted] off. Also during this well drilling we found out thru the technicians that we had a broken line from under our shed which was were the old well was. My husband dug out where they thought it was. Mr kreiser sent a backhoe down. thru this deal the technicians ran a wire from the old well up thru to the back of our home ,under our home and tried to hook the pump up to a circuit in our panel box. I had to have [redacted] come down to show him in person that I had to have a electrician come in as the wire that was laying on our ground in all kinds of weather was live. also they tried to run a 110 into a 220 or vise versa. they left a hole in our panel box as they removed a circuit breaker. [redacted] was not a happy person when he saw this. I am requesting a meeting with [redacted] ,the owner.I have a check for the amount of $250.00 ready to submit as final payment. we will end our business with kreisers heating and plumbing.as for his appology,he needs to take that up with my mother, the elder he told to shutup .thank you
Regards,

April 21, 2014
Dear [redacted]:In response to [redacted]s complaint I offer the following narrative and time line of events:In December of 2013 received a telephone call from the complainant stating she needed service to her furnace. Knowing that we are a COD company she...

explained her financial situation to me and asked if she could make payments on her bill until she received her income tax refund. reviewed her file and determined that we had worked with her in a similar fashion on previous occasions and agreed to let her make payments. On December 20, 2013 our technician arrived at her home to clean and repair her furnace. Invoice [redacted] in the amount of $444.58 resulted. Our technician returned on December 27, 2013 and replaced the fan limit switch which was faulty resulting in the furnace short-cycling. Invoice [redacted] in the amount of $103.22 resulted. On January 23, 2014 the complainant arrived at my office and made a partial payment of 50.00. At that time she explained her repayment plan to me, indicating that she would make another partial payment in February followed by a final payment for the balance due once she received her income tax refund. I do not recall her stating that she was still having problems with her furnace. On February 27, 2013 the complainant arrived at my office and made a partial payment of $25.00. At that time she complained that my technician did not seem particularly helpful when she called us about a frozen pipe issue. I explained to her that a frozen pipe issue regarding her domestic water supply was not considered a priority at the time as many of our customers were without heat and that took priority. It should be pointed out that my technician responded to her home during the frozen pipe issue and provided advice on now they could proceed to correct the problem on their own and we did not charge the complainant for that service call.On or about March , 2014 the complainant arrived at my office with a box of parts from the work we had done in December of 2013. The crack in the chamber was a hairline crack which could have happened at any time after installation and would not affect the safe operation of the furnace. The fan limit switch that she claims never worked, in fact operated correctly at the time of installation otherwise there would have been no heat blowing out of the ductwork and we never received a complaint that such was the case. Cracks in the heat exchanger could have happened at anytime after our December 27, 2013 visit. At no time prior to March of 2014 did we receive a cali stating that the complainant was smelling fumes or seeing fumes coming from the ductwork or furnace.Parts supplied by our vendors generally carry a 30 day warrantee for mechanical parts and even less for electrical components unless the part is a specialty part with its own specific warrantee. The complainant shows up at my office 2% months after installation to make her complaint. There is no warrantee at that point. The conversation in March of 2014 was animated on my part and for that apologize. However, we have always tried to work the complainant regarding her financial situation. Though we are a COD company, we had a new well drilled for her and allowing deferred payment. For all the considerations we have shown to the complainant, she chose to have a new furnace installed by another company. The complainants oil usage which she claims to be the result of her furnace not functioning properly, is directly related to extreme winter weather. Everyone experienced increases in oil consumption during the polar vortex this year.As for a settlement in this matter, we will discount invoice [redacted] and remove the service call of 59.95. Since we did not receive notice that the furnace was still not working properly within 30 days of the December 27, 2013 work, there can be no further adjustments.

Review: I have a problem with the manager of the heating/ service side of kreisersin Decof I called and told him we were haveing a problem with our furnace.he said he would send the tech down.I asked him on the phone if he would take payments like we did with the prior manager [redacted]he said yes.I explained I am on s.s disabiltiyhe said he would work with me.on dec 23rd [redacted] came down to clean the furnace, and to tell us he found we needed some new parts.he replaced a thermostat, nozzle, combustion chamber, burner head, coupling, burner plate, burner gasket kit,and a door air filtera week went by,we still had problems with the furnace running constantlyon the 30th dave came back to look at things.found he forgot to check the fan switch.I was charged a second service call for the same problemi have taken payments on my bill up,end of jan, end of febstill telling [redacted] things still were not right.I was told it was a bad winterwe had to call [redacted] in for a second opinion for the gentleman to come with the intention that maybe we had a problem somewhere else, duct work, etcwhen **[redacted] found out what we just had done he asked if he could take the furnace apart and check thingsthe chamber that was just put on was cracked, the fan switch did not even work.we were lucky we didnt have a fire as the furnace was getting too hot inside there.there were cracks in the heat exchangermy mother and I would sit and fall asleep just like that.we ended up having to replace the furnacei tried to show [redacted] the parts that were only months old for him to only scream at my mother n I ,totally disrespected,he told my mother to shut up,he was speaking to memy ,mother is yrs old with health issues.I told him I brought the parts up to show him as maybe he had faulty parts sold to him.he admitted that happens sometimesbut then threw the bill at me,told me it is a cod business, that I only paid dollars on it,I owe due now.if I didnt pay it then he would see me in court.he is the one that agreed to take payment s with the hope of paying it off when I received our income tax checkhe told me that was my box of junk,to take it n leavehe was totally disrespectful.I dont know what kind of business man he feels he is.I had spoken previously to Mr[redacted] Kreiser the owner of kreisers to be told to try to talk to [redacted], he had nothing to do with that side of the business.I have no problem with MrKreiser as I have nothing but respect for himunfortunately [redacted] is costing MrKreiser business[redacted] tried to tell us that dave told us we needed a new furnace.if this was the case why would I put worth of parts on a furnace that did not workthat doesnt even make sensehe tried to say we only had it serviced time since 2009,I beg to differ with him.when [redacted] the past manager was there we had dave a few times, another tech [redacted],who is no longer there a few timeswe have been here since 2007.Desired Settlement: I would like to come to a agreement with [redacted] about this bill.if he would have been willing to discuss things instead of raving and ranting ,check the parts out, I dont know if he would have been able to go back to their parts dealer and handles it but I dont see why I should be charged a second service call for the same issuealso why should I pay for a part that doesnt workout of plus dollars I paid 75,I would be willing to pay another of the remainder of the bill--472.80...I also feel that due to the issues with the furnace we have gone thru alot of oil.since dec 27th until feb 24th,we have had deliveries totally gallons/i would be happy with taken off our budget payments as my mother pays this.after [redacted] spoke to her the way he did I feel this would be okor he could just accept the I have paid him alreadythe gentleman at [redacted] still have the old furnace if anyone would like to see it.also I still have the partswe are currently seeking another oil delivery company alsoi told MrKreiser I will not deal with [redacted] and the service dept any more
