September 9, 2016To whom it may concern,We just learned of a letter from the Revdex.com on 09/02/2016, no other letter was delivered to our business to our knowledge.Regarding ID # ***:1.We have been in business at this location, with the same owner for years and use ASE certified technicians (Auto
Service Excellence)ASE certifications exist in order to protect the automotive service consumers, shop owners, and the automotive service technicianThese certifications require not only passing a rigorous test, but also having at least two years on the job training, and a two year degree in automotive repairIn other words, we do not hire just anyoneMike, the technician that serviced *** ***'s ***, is an ASE Master Technician with over years in the businessWe run a very fair and thorough auto repair facility, as noted by the fact that this has been our first communication with the Revdex.com, 2.*** *** states that we did not respond to his inquiries at all, when in fact we responded to his every request The last contact with *** *** was a phone conversation I personally had with him AFTER our email exchangePlease see attached email correspondenceThe FIRST inquiry from *** *** came after OVER A YEAR since we performed the service on *** ***'s ***That was the first and only service record we have at our facility for that vehicleWe gave *** *** a loaner vehicle and even dropped off his vehicle back off at his work while he was working and picked up his loaner vehicle from his work/making it easier for him as a service consumerIf there was a problem, it would have been of minimal hassle for him to get in contact with us after he had his vehicle back and have someone recheck everythingThis was not done by *** ***How are we to know that *** *** didn't have his engine oil changed somewhere else between our service on 4/09/and the first complaint to us on 6/11/and someone removed the wrong drain plug, then refilled the transmission and never mentioned the mistake to save face?4.Oils are made and formulated by more than one company in the world, thus the difference in the colorWe used *** *** CVT fluid in *** ***'s car, which is a suitable *** NS-CVT transmission fluidAttached is the Product Data sheet from *** showing that the color of this oil is REDThe *** dealer was wrong to make a blanket statement that the oil was incorrect just because it is a different color.5.I personally called *** *** in Carlisle after I received *** ***'s original email and asked *** ***, the owner, for his professional opinion on *** ***'s concern*** has also been in the transmission business at least years and does our transmission rebuilding for usI asked *** "How long would it take for a CVT transmission to act up if it was filled with the wrong fluid?" *** replied that "you would probably notice harsh shifting or other drivability concerns within the first miles of driving." Katy K***, my daughter who works here at Kreitzer's, valeted *** ***'s vehicle back to his work (miles) and had no concernsKaty is a Ford certified and *** Expert level certified technician and has a degree in automotive repairAgain, we received no communication from *** *** about any concerns until 6/11/and again, this was over a year from our service on 4/9/15.6.*** has had multiple issues concerning the CVT *** transmission of which *** ***'s *** *** ** is equippedFor customer satisfaction, *** has actually extended the factory warranty on *** ***, as well as almost all other vehicles from other age ranges and models who use that particular CVT transmissionI beg you to type in "*** CVT transmission problems" and see all the feedback that you get!7.*** *** or someone else could have added water to the coolant system to top it off and the vehicle could have an improper freeze protection level*** recommends -degrees Fahrenheit for proper cooling of the transmissionSomeone should check this using a refracto meterWe have one at our facility.8.*** *** mentions that we informed him of the missing air cleaner clips and did nothing about themThe clips were not in stock at the *** dealer at the time we serviced the vehicle, otherwise we would have called to get authorization to replace the clipsThis was the first time that we had done work for *** ***As with any of our customers that we have no history or rapport with, we do not arbitrarily replace parts on people's vehicles without authorization from the ownerWe did not rotate the vehicles tires because the tires that were on the front had MORE tread than the rear tiresThis is a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE vehicle and in the automotive repair field, it is customary to have the tires with the most tread depth on the front of the vehicle for cornering, wet roads, and tractionWe did not charge *** *** for any tire rotation as this was not needed in our professional opinionWe did not fix nor did we charge for the time spent looking into the noise concern in the front of the car, We road tested the vehicle both before & after service was performed and the noted that the noise was not from braking or suspension systemsThe tires that were on the vehicle had a wider spacing of the treads, and our technician noted that he believed the noise was coming from small stones that were stuck in the tires, similar to running studded tires on a dry roadIf we pulled the stones out of the tires they would just fill back up from driving thus causing the same problem all overWe also have a spectacular rating on *** *** (except for the F that *** *** gave us) with all ratings being an A or B and have won the *** *** Super Service award for the past years in a rowThis award is given for excellent customer satisfaction based on reviewsWe hope *** *** will correct his rating after hearing our side again and the documentation attached.It is in our personal opinion that if *** *** was genuinely concerned about his vehicle, he would have had the fluid changed by the *** dealer when he was informed that the fluid was supposedly incorrect, as to not do any damage or further damage to his transmission from repeated drivingWe have addressed his every inquiryWe fully stand behind our work, but in no way do we see any fault in this facility for *** ***'sconcernsThank you,James Kowner
