Review: We brought are RV to them in sept of 2014 to have repairs done after several months of nothing getting done they said they were going to looking at it in the next few days. Then we were called and was told they were not going to be able to fix it that they had gotten a letter from the township saying the were in violation and RV along with other vehicles had to be moved he aat that time told us he would pay to have it brought to wherever we wanted when it came time to move it he was no longer willing to pay for it when he found out that we had AAA he wanted us to use them so I did call them tthey were willing move it but at a cost because we used tham to get it to them in the first place we would like to get the money back that it cost us. We. Do not live far and hee has more cars on the lot then I have ever seen. I do think he justwanted the RV moveed and did not want to do tha rrepairsDesired Settlement: A refund of what it cost us to have it moved to a new location the cost from AAA was 364.00

Business

Response:

I'm not an RV or Heavy Truck shop but was willing to try to help them as they couldn't find anyone to work on it and explained I was real busy and didn't know how quickly I could work on it. I received the RV before winter & was so busy with everyday normal repairs it didn't allow me to get to the attention the RV needed and then winter came and we all know how bad and how long it was and the RV wont fit in my shop which they knew. It then became spring and I started to give it a look as the complaint of what needed to be repaired was brakes and battery issues. I ordered a master cylinder for the RV which took me some time to find cause I don't work on RV's everyday and don't buy parts for them on a regular basis. My business has been here for 70 years and I am in a residential zoning so the township is on top of me. When the township showed up he explained that where I had it parked was on township property and had to be moved along with other unregistered vehicles so I had to call the other customers and have their vehicles removed as well or a fine would be issued to me and I only had 2 weeks to do so. I did say I felt bad that it was here and they had to move it and would be willing to help remove it but when they told me it was $600 I wasn't willing to pay that much if it was a few hundred ok. They did tell me they had AAA and that they wouldn't tow it because they had already towed it to me once so I took an hour and called them and explained the situation and got them to tow it for them. When they got here to meet AAA to pick it up I still had the new master cylinder here in the box which I gave to them for free which they failed to mention in their complaint and I also explained that if I had installed master cylinder and it needed further brake work where the wheels needed to be removed I couldn't do that either as I don't have a jack capable to handle the weight. I probably should have said no when they initially called me but I do try to help everyone and it ended up being beyond my capability along with the township issue. This is my first complaint to Revdex.com in 70 years so I guess I'm doing pretty good but you cant please everyone as I always do my best to.
