Hey [redacted] just wanted to follow up with you on this claim. So, the inspection was performed on the flooring and the conclusion was that the complaint was not valid as a manufacturing claim. This leaves us responsible for the floor. I have contacted the [redacted]’s giving them the option to select a new floor (equivalent to existing) that we would purchase and install or receive a $700.00 credit that they had mentioned in a previous statement. I have not yet heard back from them. Once I do I will let you know what resolution we come to. Review: On Dec 5, 2013. Kress Brothers, were contacted by my insurance company to inspect my furnace and report the findings for a claim. Kress Brothers sent an inspector ([redacted]) to my home and he spent 2 hours inspecting and repairing my furnace. At this time I asked Mr. * how much the repair would cost me and I was told "Not a thing". I never received an invoice or estimate prior to the work being started. Two days later I got a bill from Kress brothers for $980. I called [redacted] and asked him for an itemized bill for the repair and he told me that he had submitted a bill to Kress brothers for $622 which included $122 for parts 2 hours labor and 3 hours travel time. The Labor and travel were billed out at $100 per hour. I have tried to get Kress Brothers on the telephone 4 times without success. I believe I have been overcharged for the service performed. I asked State Farm insurance company if it was ok that the inspector charged me $980 for a $622 repair and I was told the contractors were permitted to charge 20% over the repair for profit. When I pointed out the overcharge was more than 50% I was told it would be looked into, but now three weeks later no one has contacted me and Kress brothers will not return my call.Desired Settlement: I believe the repairman [redacted] is intitled to fair compensation for his time and for parts. Kress brothers charge of $358 for dispatching [redacted]. to my residence is excessive in my opinion, and I should receive a refund.

Review: Kress Brothers was recommended by my insurance company to do some repairs on my house due my home catching on fire. The incident was in March, they came out, gave me an estimate and began working in early April. After they finished the work, I asked them for a final invoice. They kept telling me that they were busy, and that they would mail me one within a week or so. Now it is over three months. I still have not received an invoice. I have made numerous calls, I called my insurance agent and explained the situation to him, he called trying to resolve this. They gave him the same excuse. They have been too busy to prepare and send an invoice. I would like to get this matter resolved so that I can close this chapter of my life. After 3 months of chasing them, I am done.Desired Settlement: I would like them to send me an invoice and discount it for the aggravation of chasing them. I have called once a week for over 3 months with no results. I want this to be over. I will not send them a check until they send me a final bill. I cannot request a refund on a bill that is not paid, but I want a discount for the time I've had taken away from MY BUSY schedule to chase them down.
