Review: Took a professional trap shooting shot gun in for major repairs. Was quoted a repair cost of ~1,200.00 over the phone after they had the time to examine the weapon. I asked if the gun would come back 98% repaired and was told no, it will be 100% repaired.

They had the gun in their shop from July to October, 2012. I paid the full amount due as agreed. The gun came back, the receiver and trigger guard was unfinished; blueing missing and rust was apparent. When I called and asked about they wanted to charge me an additional 100.00...they had the gun for 4 months to complete all of the repairs.

I think this is unfair and unprofessional, this is not a discount store. This shop is in PA and I live in [redacted], MD; I had to drive over 4 hours to deliver the gun, and they mailed it back to me.Desired Settlement: Complete 100% of the repair work at no additional cost to me.

Sorry I was unable to take your call this morning. We have tried to contact **. [redacted] numerous times, each resulting in no call back. **. [redacted] sent in his Krieghoff K-32 shotgun for extensive service work. Which included rebuilding both barrels, performing an annual service and replacing essential parts in the receiver (invoice attached). **. [redacted] did not ask for us to re-blue (finish) his receiver. This work is done quite often on a gun of this age, built in the 1970’s. The charge for a complete reblue of the receiver which includes the trigger guard is $475.00.

**. [redacted] was specifically unhappy about two small areas on the receiver and iron which were missing their finish. One was the trigger guard and the other was the foreend area. We offered to spot finish these areas at a 50% discount, which was $50.00. This discount was offered as **. [redacted] had contracted such extensive work on his barrels.

In **. [redacted]’s complaint he describes that we had the gun for 4 months. We received the firearm for repair on July 18th and it was shipped back to him on October 16th. With the extensive work being completed, combined with being in our busy season, the three month delivery time was well within our standards.

The work requested by **. [redacted] was completed as contracted. If he would like to have his receiver re-finished we would be more than happy to do this, however it will be charged according to our retail price list.
