This applicant did come to Penn Crest several times for showings. She was advised that in order to hold an apartment, she would need to leave a security deposit check and credit check fee. She chose not to do this, therefore, those units were rented to other applicants. When she did officially apply for a unit and the credit/background checks were run, their rating was very low - out of Therefore, the application was denied. The check that was given to the Penn Crest office for the security deposit is still there, as she has not come to pick it up as of yet. The $credit check fee was used to run the credit history and will not be returned to her
I am rejecting this response because: PENN CREST IS A JOKE. I called the the agency used by penn crest a number that was given to me by PENN CREST to see what was going on.... I didnt understand why we were rejected. I was told by the agency that reasons for the denial were small and to call penn crest back. I was told PENN CREST could approve it. When I did no one at PENN CREST returned my phone call or numerous occasions. I finally looked up a number for got a someone on the phone requested a call back from upper management and never recieved one...Why give someone a number to see what can be done and when they call you back you back YOU ignore them. Yes I want my $50 credit check fee back because I shouldve and could've been approved per their own rating agency....
Review: I'm attaching an email I sent to this small unprofessional family owned business! Good Morning [redacted], Please put the blank check aside until next week . Yesterday my husband and I were unable to pick it up due to the fact that we spent the entire day looking for new apartments that accept pets. This whole ordeal with Penn crest has been expensive on our part exhausting and disappointing. Please note that I will be requesting the $50 fee to be returned due to the lack of professional we received from [redacted] and [redacted]. Just to RECAP the matter.: [redacted] gave us the number to ONSITE. A company paid to approve and to disapprove applicants. (I found out later that was a lie PENN CREST makes the final decision not onsite!) [redacted] gave me number to see what could be done about us being denied at my request. Onsite told us the denial could be reversed easily. They even told us to call [redacted] back to see if she would approve us due to such a small reason for us being denied. I called [redacted] 3-4 times over 3 hours and the whole time (per [redacted]) she was at LUNCH and [redacted]s bosses we unavailable and didnt have an email address. Everything had to go through [redacted] those were [redacted]S exact words .!!! We took A MONTH out of our busy schedule reviewing PENN CREST apartments. Apartments that were available when the appointment was made but taken off the market the day after we viewed them. Despite the appointments we made and despite us coming from out of town to see it. That alone deserved some compassion, professionalism and a returned phone call at the least!!!I will not stand by why your associates think this is okay to do this . I dont care who they may or may NOT be RELATED to in the company![redacted], PLEASE FORWARD MY EMAIL ON THE APPROPRIATE PARTIES. I PLAN TO DO THE SAME AS WELL ON MY END! THANK YOU,JINELLDesired Settlement: I want an apology and my refund of $50. I plan on taking this matter further due to level of unprofessionalism received.
