website representing our small company, located in the Cascade Mountains of Washington, has certainly been a wonderful expansionWe have had a large increase of the amont of items we have put online over the last couple of years to accommodate customrs wanting to see more of the items we have for sale in our storeWe are a year round christmas store selling primarily Christmas items with a smaller percentage of Home D ecor and FurnitureWe now have thousands of entries online during the year Our webite obviously has to be facilitated by computer programming in the upkeep of availability as well as pricesWe have had a very reliable updating computer process that has been very accurateIn this particular incident, the computer updated the wrong price that morning and within the hour I received an order and noticed that we had a price issue I went in and manually corrected the price and sent an email to the customer notifying them this was a mistake in the price
You have copies of all the email correspondence back and forth) The website has multiple Vendors to choose from and this customer choose to go the Mark R*** Vendor and then selected the African-American CollectionThis section had pages of African-American Elves, Fairies, Santas, and Stocking Holders. Please note there was not item on any of the pages that was under $and there were other comparable Santas priced $and $The customer had to have known immediately there was a mistake in the price and she wanted to take advantage of that! All collectors of Mark Roberts items know that it is rare when his collections even go on sale, but certainly not for that priceThe item ordered was a brand new item we received a week beforehandWe tried to accommodate the customer by offering her the Santa at our cost, $and sent it free to her; however, she refused No other place in the world would she be able to buy a brand new Santa created by Mark Roberts this year for 1/off of the suggested retail priceWe felt that was a reasonable alternative
