Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation Reviews (%countItem)

Called to inquire about why different Krispy Kreme locations charge different prices for the same donuts? I was told thats common practice and is ok. That seems like shady business pricing/practices to me. Ill never go back to Krispy Kreme.

My husband and myself went to Krispy Kreme tonight 03/01/2020. Online the store hours read that they close at 11pm as well as on the sign beside the door. It was 10:10pm when my husband went inside. He was told by the manager who was counting money at the time that time that they were closed. My husband told him that online information said 11pm was closing time as well as the sign by the door and the manager said I am aware what the sign says but we are closed.

I brought 2 dozen donuts on Sun. Dec 8, 2019 & called customer service in reference to poor customer service & cold donuts. I couldn’t use my free rewards or free coffee. I spoke to a rep on Dec 9 who was sending a coupon for a free dozen & it’s been a month and nothing has been received.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and I accept it.

I'm currently waiting on the phone for an hour waiting on an manager!!!! I am highly UPSET my order number is *** $30.94. I order my food online through the krispy Kreme Website I paid $30.94. I receive one box it was half opened I ordered the Assorted Dozen and also the Wonderland DZ. I let the guy know that delivered my food that it was wrong he walked out and told me to call the store I was already on the phone with the store. For thirty mins trying to figure out why my food is late it was cold I was purchasing this for my doctors today at the office and this is what happens. I would like my money back plus I would like for them to deliver the right donuts and also make sure that they are hot. I'm still on hold and i'm going to hold until someone decides to hang up and i'm calling right back. Cooperate tried to call as we were on the phone and the lady from corporate name is dynasty' she stated that she will reported they just hung the phone up as im writing this and it's 10:31am and Im calling back and they will not answer the phone. But I heard people in the back ground. I called back and they hung up in my face. IM CALLING BACK THE TIME IS 10:32AM AND ONCE THEY HUNG ON ME IM CALLING BACK NO ANSWER I DEMAND MY MONEY BACK AND ALSO THIS DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE

Placed an order online through the Krispy Kreme website and my credit card was charged for the purchase. When I went into the location the store would not honor the order I had already paid for so then they charged me an additional amount in order to receive the original order.

+1

We are a non-profit youth organization and we placed a fundraiser order for 710 dozen doughnuts and/or bags of coffee. The day we went to pick up our order, I, the fundraising coordinator, had a tire issue at the start of my 2.5 hour drive to pick up the order and arrived 15 mins later than other board members that were there to help me load our order to transport back to our city. When I arrived, the other board members were already loading doughnuts so I went into the store to pay for our order. When I was finished paying, I came back outside to help load and they were almost finished loading everything. We loaded up and headed back to our city. Upon arrival in our city, we realized we were short a lot of doughnuts, uncertain of the amount we were short at the time. We tried to call the store and their phones were down until the next day. We originally thought we were short 30-something dozen but upon proper calculation and verifying orders, we realized we were short 76 dozen chocolate doughnuts. The GM at the store, Josie, was very kind and offered a refund for the doughnuts we did not receive or the option of me going to pick up the 76 dozen missing doughnuts. She verified with the district manager and he was originally okay with either option but the next day, they changed their mind. The GM said they would have the district manager call me and no one has contacted me. When I call the store, they either don't answer or give me the run around. We are responsible for having counted the doughnuts before we left their *** store and when asked, my fellow board members said they stopped counting when the Krispy Kreme employee started helping to load the doughnuts up because they lost count. We are responsible for this but I feel that Krispy Kreme is also responsible because we loaded up everything they had made, which was obviously short. We will never do business with this location again and want others to know how they will treat a non-profit youth organization

I have tried to receive resolution since MARCH of 2019. I have been ignored. I contacted the store, the 1 800 number, customer service, email, etc. I have only got a runaround and this was my next recourse. I did not want to file a Revdex.com complaint but because of 5 months of ignoring me, I had no choice. I visited the store and had a $25 gift card. I had $17 left on the card and was told that something was wrong with the system and I would have to pay $8.00 out of pocket even though the cashier told me she could see I have money on the gift card. I didn't want to but I did pay. The next day I returned and was told the same thing by the same cashier and I told her that I have money on the gift card and I don't want to pay out of pocket. She kept swiping the card and then another cashier came over and whispered to her that she had pressed a wrong button. The transaction went through after the second cashier helped. I realized that the $8.00 I paid the day before was due to the cashier not knowing what she was doing and I paid $8.00 when I never should have. I still have the card and I would like my money refunded. I have tried and tried and tried since March to have someone simply call me back. I called today and held on the line with a customer service rep named Donna who told me that Steve from the store I visited would call me back. I never received a call. It is bad customer service all around and I am only getting a runaround.

I receive a email each year for free doughnut & a coke for my birthday. I didn't get one this year. I called corporate office concerning this. A man returned my call & told me it was on my app which it IS NOT.

I went through the drive thru on June 23, 2019. I bought two dozen of doughnuts. I had a coupon for buy one get one .99. I informed the cashier that I had the coupon. She said okay and took my card without giving me a total. She came back to the window two minutes later claiming that she accidentally charged me full price for two dozen. Then gave me a supposed refund receipt. The doughnuts were old tasting and looking even though the hot light had just went out. The glaze was crispy and gross. A week went by and I called customer service. They couldn't give me a time frame of when to expect my money back. She just said to contact the store. I filled out a complaint form two weeks later on the website. I received correspondence by email. They were trying to give me coupons. I informed them that I do not want coupons. I want my money back. They asked for the store information and claimed that someone from the store would be contacting me. They never did. I filled out another complaint form on their website. No one got back to me. It is a month and a half later and still no refund back to my debit card.

I purchased 3doz donuts and 2 coffee boxes from the Krispy Kreme site for delivery. They were not delivered, despite my waiting outside for 20mins actively seeking the delivery.

I called the same day, and was told the fee would be refunded.

Today the fee posted to my card and was not refunded.

I called again and was told that the company had gone back on its promise, and would not refund the fee. They refused to accept responsibility, asking me to call a delivery subcontractor that handled their deliveries.

I refused, since I contracted for the service with them. It was their decision to use a subcontractor, and they therefore have responsibility for the subcontractor's failure. At no time during my order was there any mention of a subcontractor. The payment that has appeared on my card is with Krispy Kreme.

I had a team member place an order on Monday, February 4th for 10 dozen "Conversation Valentine Donuts' that was nationally advertised by Krispy Kreme (limited time only). I first called that location to make sure they were doing those specific donuts and they said yes. My team member offered to pay in person, was told not necessary. On Thursday, February 7th I was called and asked to give a credit card number on the phone for the donuts. I did give them number. I asked why my team member couldn't pay when they were there and *** said it was an employee training issue. I told him they are the nearest Krispy Kreme location and are approximately 97 miles away. The pick up time was 9pm Monday, February 11th. My husband drove 97 miles to pick up. I was travelling and not able to look at the Valentine donuts till Tuesday morning. I was blown away when I opened the boxes. The Valentine donuts as advertised on a National level where to be in four light pale colors with different valentine sayings, ie; Be Mine, I love u, etc. I received in each box 3 sprinkle donuts and 9 donuts possibly heart shaped with some icing thrown on them and some drizzle icing. I called the location mutliple times of which would ring 7 or 8 times and then go to busy. I then called the corporate office to speak with customer service who took my information and said a district manager would have to call me back. Unfortunately Valentine's Day is tomorrow and have yet (29 hours later) to hear from anyone for resolution. Obviously, it's only a donut, but I did ask in advance if they were participating in the Conversation Donut campaign, gave significant notice and paid in advance. No follow up from krispy kreme is unacceptable. I work for a hospice organization, if we did this level of customer service we would not be in business.

on 2/1/2019 we purchased two dozen donuts from the store in ***, AL. We called when we arrived at home 45 minutes away to tell them the chocolate/chocolate dozen was bad. They said to return it and it would be replaced. On 2/8/2019 I returned the dozen donuts to that store and spoke with *** (owner/manager) who refused to make it right offering instead a 3-pack of donuts.

I had a lousy experience in a location in ***, Texas, on 08/01/18. As such, I emailed to resolve it. I went back and forth with corporate but was informed that Texas stores resolve their own issues and the franchisee was made aware of the issue and would then reach out to me. I emailed back after not hearing anything. I called multiple times and was told the same thing. The final call ended with me being told she would reach out to the store owner again and escalate it to corporate. I have not heard anything from anyone regarding this issue. Now instead of being a lousy store experience and crappy donuts, I'm mad about the extremely terrible service from the corporate level as well. All I want is my money back.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This complaint is about the good grades program offered by Krispy Kreme. The program is designed to promote academic excellence in students. Every A that a student receives, the child receives a free doughnut. My child received all A's for the semester. I took her to Krispy Kreme to receive her doughnuts. I was told she was not allowed to get them because she was above 6th grade. Krispy Kreme does not advertise this program anywhere on their website or have any rules or guidelines in writing for public view. As an educator, I would like for Krsipy Kreme to advertise this program to students and their families. Krispy Kreme should make available rules and guidelines for this program on their website. The public should be aware of this program. The rules should be in writing and not kept a secret. I also feel not allowing students above 6th grade to receive the benefits of the program is discriminatory.
I have contacted Krispy Kreme about this issue and their response was not pleasing.

On Sat Feb 10 around 2pm, I visited the Krispy Kreme store on Ponce. When I tried to pay, the clerk notified me they did not accept discover card. I then had no other form of payment, so I thought to use the app. I loaded $10 to my KK app to pay. When I tried to pay then, The worker did not know how to accept payments from the app, so I had to leave. Later, I see via my statement that I was charged 2 $10 charges to KK. I have called and been transferred, guaranteed they would fix it numerous times; only to hear nothing back.

Several months ago during 2017 I loaded $10 on to my Krispy Kreme rewards app. Every time I went to the Tacoma, WA location the staff could not figure out how to use the app to pay for my purchase. Even supervisors couldn't get it to work. It happened about three times. I finally called the headquarters late last year and spoke to a customer service rep who help me create a new account and correct some incorrect information. She said she would combine the old and new account and transfer the $10 to my new reward account. After three calls, the funds still have not been transferred. This money does not make or break me, but its ridiculous that I would have to call three time about such a small issue and it still not be resolved. Its also ridiculous that people at the Tacoma location can't figure out how to use your own rewards program. I don't like that they have to take my phone, why can't they just scan like all other apps? Get it together please and refund my $10 as you promised several months ago. I'm close to never purchasing from your company again. Top Pot doughnuts is just as good.

I have been a member of the Krispy Kreme Rewards club for a few years now and part of the membership is a free doughnut on your birthday. This year I did not get the email for it and have contacted customer service several times trying to get them to send one to me and I cannot get anyone to help me. I am getting brushed off and I don't appreciate it.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12655251, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I received a email indicating that I was going to receive a coupon in the mail to use for a free dozen donuts. I appreciate this offer and except the resolution.

They refused to honor a promotion (buy a $25 giftcard. Receive a free $5 card) they had advertised online (twitter) and on the large menu for the drive thru at this location. The person who was in charge that night was very rude & offered no resolution, just said he ran out of the $5 cards ... saying I could try coming back which is not feasible for me as it is 2 hours round trip. ( this was to be a Christmas gift ) I called their complaint line on the way home & again the next day and no one has called me to resolve this issue.

I made a complain in the early of April to Krispy Kreme.
I bought a half dozen of donuts at Penn Station N.Y and half of the donuts are missing frosting. I attached a picture and emailed it to Krispy Kreme. They responded on April 7 and opened a case Case #1390923. They stated that someone will contact me and to follow up the case. I never received any responds after April 7. I tried to contact them again on April 17 but no reply.

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation Response

We have mailed the customer a $6.50 refund check along with a Krispy Kreme letter enclosed.

Case has been closed.

Thanks,

Fialisa
