Krumrey Home Furnishings has been in business at this location since 1988.  We have strived to earn our customer loyalty.  In 29 years we have only had one complaint and that was from a person that didn't llike collection calls when they weren't paying their payments. This complaint has 3...

parts.  The first was bedrails that were damaged at delivery.  [redacted] was told they would be replaced.  We cannot order only 2 bedrails by themselves.  Not immediately, but her bedrails were ordered with some other items.  I checked on them today and was told they were picked up by the trucking company on 8-16-17.  We will call her when they come in to see how she would like to get them as she has stated we will not be allowed in her house again.  We have never had any intention to leave her with bad rails on her bed.The second issue is the damaged bedroom door and frame.  The damage was not done the day the bedroom was delivered.  She purchased a sofa and loveseat set from us also.  The loveseat was in our warehouse still in it's original packaging.  When we went to deliver it we found that water had gotten on the fringe and soaked up the skirt.  The moisture caused mold to form inside the plastic wrap.  [redacted] was told it was not sellable after a good inspection.  She still wanted the sofa so we took her 3 chairs to see if any of them would work for her.  They were there for a few days.  She decided she didn't want the sofa and end tables if she couldn't have a matching loveseat.  The set is discontinued so we went and picked up the sofa, end tables and 3 chairs.  Two of the chairs were in her bedroom.  We have 2 men on a delivery.  One of them took out a chair with no problem.  The second man must have been carrying his chair differently and forced it thru her bedroom door.  He did not come back and tell us of the problem.  When [redacted] called to see what we were going to do about it I asked her to get with the builder of her "band new home" and get us a quote for replacement.  We had every intention of paying for the work..  She contacted [redacted] Contractors (bid attached) and presented us with this bid for $1,200.00.  Rick contacted the contractor and he said she called him and told him what was needed to be done.  He hasn't seen the door.  He was told a 36" door.  The chair that did the damage is only 28"" wide.  The door can't be more than 30" wide and can be purchased at [redacted] for $72-$185 primed and ready to paint.  We have asked other contractors and were told it should be more like $400-$500.  She has asked for a check to her or cash.  We will pay a reasonable amount to a contractor to do the work - but will not hand her $1,200 cash.Part 3 is accusing us of paying employees under the able.  They drive a company truck and wear company uniforms.  One of the men has been with us for 27 years and the other has only been with us for a few months but came from another  furniture store.  I have no idea where she could possibly get that idea and find it slanderous.Lastly she was mailed her $117. overpayment on 7/28/17.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2016/02/02) */
She gave me a credit card number from day one to run if she couldn't come in. She usually would pay around the end of them month. She bought a loveseat in July, and she didn't pay for it until I took it out on December 24, and that was an even...

$250, but it was a $700 sofa. I was being nice, so I allowed the late payment and the low price of the couch. Back in September, her nephew came in with two credit cards to use for payments, to run for $350 on each. Well, the cards were stolen and so she had to make up those payments as well. In November, she moved through us, and I normally charge 65 dollars an hour and it a 6 hour job, but I only charged her $150. She promised to pay me that day, but she didn't. I called her on December 7 about her payment because she had 2 payments past due. She said she would have about $3,000 through [redacted] within the next 5 days. I called her again on the 15th and she didn't answer and wouldn't return my calls. I figured she had that money so I took a $400 payment out on December 24, for the sofa and the bedroom moving charge. I never took out a $199 charge on her card. I also took her normal payment of $700 for the furniture she bought from me in the past, she has an installment contract. She told me she would have $3000. On December 26, she called and yelled at me about taking the money out on the 24th that she owed me, because she had no money for Christmas. I was trying to be fair and even offered for her to come up and get the $400 and she could just owe me again in January. She didn't pay in January at all and that is where we stand right now.
