Customer brought in his jeep to have an oil change and alignmentThe jeep's chassis had been modified and lifted with very big tires In order to properly align the vehicle, due to the lift kit, aftermarket ball joints needed to be installed on the vehicle to be able to get the front end aligned into specificationsFactory warranty is void since customer modified the suspension by installing the lift kit (which was NOT done by us here at Kruse Enterprises, vehicle came in to us that way)After inspection of vehicle and finding that the alignment could not be properly done without the aftermarket ball joints, Larry, our service manager, called the customer and explained all of this and informed him that the alignment its self is $(+ tax), BUT with it needing the ball joints, the total bill would be $(+tax and oil change) - which makes the total bill around $We received the "OK" to go ahead & perform the workWe did give the customer a loaner vehicleOur loaner vehicles are Complimentary, there is No charge for the loaner vehicleWe do this as a courtesy to our customersIt is the customers responsibility to purchase any fuel they need and/or useAll of our loaner vehicles are mechanically sound and are routinely checked overYou must be or older to drive the loaner vehiclesCustomer called Monday evening & we explained to him that we had a mechanic get hurt over the weekend and we were running a little behind and apologized and said that we would get it in Tuesday morning to get the ball joints and alignment doneThe customer was very rude and said "so I have to drive this piece of st impala another day?!" (this is the FREE, complimentary loaner vehicle he is speaking of)We apologized again for the inconvenience After the customer blowing up and becoming irate with the lady who called him to let him know his vehicle was done, he was also irate on the phone with [redacted] and [redacted] We tried explaining everything we did and what needed to be done to him again and informed him that he did in fact approve the workOn the first phone call [redacted] did not spell out "fifty five dollars and cents for alignment", he simply said and that everything would run a total of $+tax and oil changeSince the alignment was 59.95, you can assume when you tell someone a total of that that would mean dollars since the total cannot be less than the stated alignmentAs a good will to the customer, we took an almost $discount off the total making the bill $as a good will to the customer and to try to make things right and show our willingness to work with himAs far as the customer saying in the letter to you that a qualified mechanic would have checked that the spacer nuts were only finger tight before anything was done – this was checked by our qualified mehanic before anything was done, however, the spacer nut has nothing to do with ball joints or any work we performedWe simply wanted to inform the customer of this since it seemed to not been tightened by whoever installed the lift kitWe wanted to keep the customer safe & aware of that situation

aligned into specifications. Factory warranty is void since customer modified the suspension by installing the lift kit (which was NOT done by us here at Kruse Enterprises, vehicle came in to us that way). After inspection of vehicle and finding that the alignment could not be properly done without the aftermarket ball joints, Larry, our service manager, called the customer and explained all of this and informed him that the alignment its self is $59.95 (+ tax), BUT with it needing the ball joints, the total bill would be $895 (+tax and oil change) - which makes the total bill around $970. We received the "OK" to go ahead & perform the work. We did give the customer a loaner vehicle. Our loaner vehicles are Complimentary, there is No charge for the loaner vehicle. We do this as a courtesy to our customers. It is the customers responsibility to purchase any fuel they need and/or use. All of our loaner vehicles are mechanically sound and are routinely checked over. You must be 21 or older to drive the loaner vehicles. Customer called Monday evening & we explained to him that we had a mechanic get hurt over the weekend and we were running a little behind and apologized and said that we would get it in Tuesday morning to get the ball joints and alignment done. The customer was very rude and said "so I have to drive this piece of st impala another day?!" (this is the FREE, complimentary loaner vehicle he is speaking of). We apologized again for the inconvenience . After the customer blowing up and becoming irate with the lady who called him to let him know his vehicle was done, he was also irate on the phone with [redacted] and [redacted] We tried explaining everything we did and what needed to be done to him again and informed him that he did in fact approve the work. On the first phone call [redacted] did not spell out "fifty five dollars and 95 cents for alignment", he simply said 59.95 and that everything would run a total of $895 +tax and oil change. Since the alignment was 59.95, you can assume when you tell someone a total of 895 that that would mean 895 dollars since the total cannot be less than the 59.95 stated alignment. As a good will to the customer, we took an almost $300 discount off the total making the bill $670 as a good will to the customer and to try to make things right and show our willingness to work with him. As far as the customer saying in the letter to you that a qualified mechanic would have checked that the spacer nuts were only finger tight before anything was done – this was checked by our qualified mehanic before anything was done, however, the spacer nut has nothing to do with ball joints or any work we performed. We simply wanted to inform the customer of this since it seemed to not been tightened by whoever installed the lift kit. We wanted to keep the customer safe & aware of that situation.
